I don't do it often but I'll give street beggars some money here and there but only when they are being honest. Don't tell me you are fucking hungry, I mean you probably are but that's not why you want my money. I'm more inclined to give you a buck or two if you tell me you are a few dollars short of a six pack or something.
That said it's not like these people are in the majority. Most of the bums around my work begging couldn't even tell you what year it is lol.

They ain't hurting for money or starving as bad as we would think. Almost all of them fools get food stamps every 1st of the month and also collecting some sort of disability check from the government like SSI

my mom is mrs goody two shoes and went around with lunches one day and tried giving them to homeless people. she said about half of them would dig through the bag and say no. Guess if youre not giving cash or booze they dont want your help.

I was always taught to check out a persons shoes when they are asking for money. If they have some brand new shoes on they arent getting shit from me. If they have holes in their clothing and genuinely need help ill give them some doe. IMO, most of the time you can tell someones story by the condition of their shoes.
I met a fake homeless person in downtown Toronto.
He said he would make a killing beating a drum and boo'ing the opposing team outside of where the maple leafs play. I asked him if he wanted to get some food (after talking with him for a while) and he was like "nah I have a fresh pizza waiting for me at home".
"You have a home?"
"Ya, I have a nice apartment a couple of streets down from here. I make good money doing this...."
