Not a regular USB, an older USB, 1.1 to be exact. Anything from the past couple years should have USB 2.0.
You know what I mean. One's high speed and the other one is not, but the 1.1's are still pretty common depending on when you bought your computer.

Well if you look you'll see the 320GB version is originally more and is on a bigger sale. I have the 250Gb one and it works great. I also have an extra 250GB (same exact one sealed) if you want to buy it.

And I always use Western Digital or Seagate. Fuck a Maxtor, nothing but problems.
right so the 320s better? id be interested but id probably want a warranty so im going this way,i wonder how buy.com is if they trustworthy

So 320GB vs 250GB of the same drive for the same price and you're asking which is better? WOW.

I just bought some shit from Buy.com, they are reputable.

I bought a 500 GB MyBook in the $200 price range, it works good. Only thing is, as i was transferring everything, I remembered i left my fone charger behind the drive, reached for it and boom, the HD fell on the floor (about a 1 foot drop) and seeing as the power button is a fat circle in the front, it turned off and corrupted all my data,, then i brought it to CompUSA where they charged around 70 bucks and they restored like 85-90% of my shit.

But anyway, I recommend the MyBook.....get the USB one, Firewire is more money and you really dont see a noticable speed difference. I dont think Ill ever need more storage in my life..500 gb.

Google is offering that because they trying to get as popular as Paypal. I used it to get $10 off a jersey from Sportsauthority, $20 off a video card from buy.com, and $20 off a bluetooth headset from buy.com over the past week. The discount does not show on your buy.com bill it will be applied by Google checkout.

naw turning it off dont make you lose your data, it just turned off as the data was transferring and it caused some permanent damage cause off the disc being in use as it that happened.

i got the mybook 500 gig hard drive. i got the premium one that comes with firewire/usb and it has a neon blue light, the cheaper one has a green light and no firewire. I love the hard drive tho you can put all your files on it. i changed it from fat32 to ntfs so can transfer files over 4.3 gigs onto it. I dont know if you can run programs off it, i reformatted it when i got it cus it came with some bullshit on it. but if you got lots of music or video then this is a big help and it keeps all your shit in one place.
