Barry was the most exciting RB I have ever seen! He was killing fools! He would make a 10 yard lost into a 20+ yard gain. Too bad he lost his love for football. I don't blame him either. Detroit was a terrible team and still is.

Though I am a Barry fan 100% and was always in amazement watching him play, u cannot be sure that he would have killed Emmitt statistically if he played with the C-Boys....Barry was like a playground legend..if u put him in that set offense/system, zone blocking, whose to say he wouldnt have fucked it up by trying to run outside of the blocking schemes. Id compare it to a battle rapper or freestyle rapper whose tryin 2 put themselves in the mold of a "commercial" rapper, its impossible 4 some 2 do.....they go off of pure instinct and are not able to succeed at the highest level. With that being said, Barry styll shits on Emmitt, sorry fresh

Im not saying barry is garbage. I fucking love watchin barry sanders, emmitt and barry had 2 different of styles of running. But if your gonna make a list of top running backs your gonna have to base it off of what they did in their career. Like I said emmitt has the yards touchdowns and rings and all barry had was an MVP and pro-bowls. Now if some one made a list of top 10 elusive running backs then yea barry would be ahead of emmitt

The fact is Jim Brown, Barry Sanders and Marion Motley didn't have a good offensive line, so they created plays. Barry used finesse and Brown/Motley straight ran muthafuckas over!

fine fuck rings, emmitt still had more yards and touchdowns then barry.
Smith played 15 years and Barry played 10. That is the difference in numbers. So that means Barry would have had 5 years to get 3,000 yards and 65 touchdowns. It's not that hard to figure out.

And like everyone has said, Smith played on a good ass team.

Barry Sanders has no rings, why the hell should he be number 2? the only thing he did in his career is when MVP. He only rushed for 15,269 yards and got 99 touchdown, when Emmitt ran for 18,335 yards, all time leading rusher, and 164 touchdowns with 3 rings. How can he not be #2?
MAN THATS LIKE COMPARING CHARLES BARKLEY TO ROBERT HORRY

i don't think anybody is hating.

i think the fact is that barry is better than emmitt.

it's simple. emmitt has a better career than barry sanders, as far as accolades. but barry is a better player than emmitt, aside from touchdowns.

You have to remember sanders was on the shitty lions and smith was on the cowboys who had talent all around and one of the best o-lines. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if sanders had played longer would be the all time rushing leader.
