I'm livin in the end of the world right now. I'm enjoying the show while everything incrementally slips into chaos. I wonder if heresy still agrees if this country only has 50 years worth of life left.
I read a crazy quote today about how economist say that america is no longer the land of opportunity. I'm trying to find the country that is.
baby boom. . . . do any of you know what happens after a supernova. apply that logic to the american finacial system and the correlated population demographics. when they die off what happens? what is their legacy?
from WWII the country got rich and powerful, passed laziness, hedonism and indifference to their children and now those children resent their own children. The baby boomer generation is selfish and like a serpent they feed on the life of their children.
now that spoiled child fears for the future that it won't change because of its corruption.
what is hope for the child of a spoiled child? The parent didn't teach it to fight, neither did it teach it to learn.
If we are generation xy&z we are food for the hungry nations that followed in the footsteps of the spoiled generations parents.

And yeah, im marking my calendar. Even if nothing happens, shit is exciting to me. The Mayans were no fucking joke when it came to Time. Shit, even now you can go down to that area of Central America and the people there will be literally obsessed with time, EVERYONE's got a watch, and no one ever runs late for anything.

It's gonna take a hell of a lot to wipe out humanity. We're just like a plague - you can kill a couple billion bacteria but theres always a handful that survives. I can't forsee any catastrophe, regardless of how major, that will kill every single human (or leave so few that we never 'bounce back'). To me, humankind is probably going to be the 'dominant' species on this planet (and soon probably many other planets) for millions of years to come. Ofcourse, shit does happen, and I could be eating my words sooner than later, but I think when that day comes it won't be grounded in any predictions regardless of which culture made them.
As for those who make such predictions, I think predictions made by white europeans are just as likely as any other to eventuate - after all, they pretty much have all the power in the world so if it's a man-made catastrophe which is gonna wipe us out, they're gonna be the fuckers responsible!

What a great fucking game. This was such a good RPG...in my opinion the best RPG of all time. It illustrates perfectly why American RPGs are so vastly superior to stories about purple-headed spike-haired androgynous 13-year olds who take 3 years to wonder if they should be "like their fathers" or not.
What a great fucking Japanese dilemna - Americans wonder whether or not to smoke crack and shoot themselves in the head, whereas a great Japanese dilemna would be "should I not take the same business route as my father, the shoemaker?" After studying alot of Japan and Japanese culture, playing Japanese RPGs become almost funny to me as I saw the cultural elements played out almost to an inane level in the storytelling and synergy.
