mitch I thought I heard you mention rik in murderdog, Bottom line is you didint use the songs and thats yesterdays news.I gotta say I know what rik was going through as you do too. day to day dealing with some cats in business, and they think they got it all figured out, and the ones you try to help think you fuckin them. some of these cats are some real cold pieces of work.Ive only been tryin to do this for a minute on the label side and its tough and more credit should be given to you for really doin it big ( as you have ) with no major push from the label and radio. It takes alot of determination, patience, shit Im sure you can testify that getting the beats, studio time and raps is the easy part, after that point the real work begins,
Back to rik though,He aint perfect and dont claim it, but I dont know him to be sheisty and shit,he got a good heart and care for his peoples. He may not have coast to coast recognition, but he has done alot for the rappers in his community as well as some outside,I first remember rik on that baby skar tape.he has so much shit know one has heard cause they keep it in tha hood, there have been numerous songs I thought damn why aint he do something bigger.
which brings me to this yesterday is gone and some of us is a little older and wiser, we aint got to love each other but damn with more tolerance and teamwork we all could bring more attention to dago, and I know that the world is bigger then dago but we can make it more attractive to consumers and label heads like when mitchy drops the day 50 cent drop( just an example) and you outsell him in dago it will get noticed, I aint trying to school you I know you know tha biz im just stating so others that read this may realize the potential of some unity in tha community and i hope there careers take them far but it starts at home.I started this easttrippn thread and I wasnt sure what I was trying to accomplish ,maybe let some vent others hear some other talent, most the songs are subpar( even rik dont think the C.D. is that tight) But homie give a little credit there are about three tight songs and 1 more that makes tha grade unfortunatley it was at your expense, and I know it goes deeper then the rap, however there are some that just want some acknowledgement that the east has some heat outside of the usual ( big june, skar,)
It is my opinion that you have the power to to help the balls in your hands.
and rik keep doin you and let your music speak for itself
