Once Kris Benson got signed it became impossible for the A's to even attempt to keep Hudson. Benson is not even half as good as Hudson and got 3YR/$22M. Hudson has like the 3rd best winning percentage of all time despite having no run support. Once shitty pitchers like Benson start getting signed to ridiculous contracts, the value of pitchers who are actually good like Hudson skyrockets. They traded Hudson cuz they'd have to let him walk and would rather have someone who can contribute now or very soon rather than a draft pick. Same with Mulder, I think the A's know he's not going to be good anytime soon. Zito stayed cuz if I remember correctly, he's always pitched best in the most important games, he's a Cy Young winner, and he's never been injured. His being a fan favorite was probably a big reason too.

Zito won't be moved in the rotation until he's traded... But it will be well known by everyone very soon that Harden is by far the best pitcher on that staff, and one of the best pitchers in the AL. People familiar with the A's know it already but everyone else will find out soon enough.

he hasnt had a losing season yet... i mean yeah, he didnt have the best season last year, but hes had two starts with minimal run support in those games. he did give up a lot of runs each start, but its the beginning of the season.

Zito is the only lefty with no natural movement on his fastball, and other than that he has a change up and a curveball. That's all. Guys are letting his curve go by and pounding his fastballs and changeups. (His fastball usually doesn't hit 90MPH.) I think the league has figured him out.

agreed, they figured out that zito has average stuff if you don't let the curve mesmorize you

^^^^Yeah, so mulder got hit a bit, its his first start ever in the national league. he still did ok. like i said to some other people, the giants bullpen will come around...i think they just need to decide when to use a guy like tyler walker. Saarloos is not a weak link, he had a GREAT First start replacing harden last week.

Yankees and Sox suck? suck as in u dont like them or theyre not good?

Guys...it's only been a week so far. The A's are garbage. If they win more than 80 games I'll be hella surprised. Toronto smashin' on em right now. A-Team first place, and it stayin' like that the rest of the way. Easy...

Fuck the bullshit. Jets play in New Jersey as a NY team. Getting on em about the name change is already tired. It must really be hurtin' Dodgers fans that their squad is in the shadow right now. And if you wanna bring up facts, the Angels were LA's FIRST baseball club, even before the Dodgers. But who the fuck cares anyway? A-Team is currently the best squad on the Left. Easy...

The Angels whole pitching staff sucks except for K-Rod and Escobar (injured.) The Angels are hella overrated. They have the potential to score a lot of runs but they will give up a lot of runs because of their bad pitching.
