Mixed opinions on this game. I think its better than the UFC games but its not without its own faults too. I like how you can dodge punches in the ground game, and transitions are pretty easy as well.

WAYYYYY to many fucking takedowns from the cpu, I have never seen an MMA fight with 10 takedowns in one round, IMO takedowns are to easy and need to be a little harder to get. And on the same subject I think takedown defense is easier in the UFC games, here because of the way the characters slide its harder to defend the takedown. And thats another thing they should be walking with more fluid movements the way they move is terrible.

KO's look like shit, your punching the guy and then thats it???

Also why put the fake/faint button on the left bumper I will never use that shit, move it to the right and put the modifier on the left bumper.

Over all I enjoyed it but its not enough to make me want to purchase it.

only played like 4 or 5 matches so far. i'ma get back on it tonight.

i quit yesterday cuz i was pissed off about the stand-up controls. shit shoulda been L1=low strikes modifier (like fight night), L2=kicks modifier, R1=block (like fight night), R2 for fakes. control all striking modifiers with the left hand, control blocking & faking with the right. it seems so obvious to me.

if the official game lets you customize the controls, i'll love it. otherwise, its just okay. L2+R1+right stick for a low kick just seems unnatural.

^^^ there's always DLC. faejao is pretty much a lock, since he's the champ. hopefully they throw cyborg into a package too. that ass whooping he delivered to zaromskis should have gotten EA's attention.

after playing this a little more, this game is really well-made. the demo isnt the final build of the game, its from july. & on top of that, they had to remove things for the demo because of space restrictions (IE, in the final game i'm sure GnP KO's won't always end with one arm up).

the controls take some getting used to.. you can always choose classic if you dont like using the stick to strike.

i disliked the game at first, but i think that was because the 1st 10 times i played it i was hella drunk & could not comprehend the controls & timing it involved if my life depended on it. its not like Fight Night, in that respect.

Hm, not really feelin the demo too much. I'll have to play the real game to make the final judgement, but so far somewhat disappointed in this.

Takedowns are too easy, seems a bit arcade-ish to me.

Question for those that have the full game---

In the demo, Take downs were almost automatic and the computer would go for them all the time, is the full game the same, does the computer go for takedowns a hell of a lot???
