I did this morning, great album, just like his last one. Best songs to me: Pain No More, Ambassador, Tell It Like It Is, The Recipe, Hood Boy, Earl, and Alcoholism.

boo

if you didn't like the album you must just not be a fan of 40's music period... his newer music at least
LOL...don't act like he hasn't been declining since Breakin News. This is the worst album of his career, hands down, no question. There's nothing special or even solid about it at all. Its just a boring, uninspired record.

this album is garbage...if u dont think 40 has changed then u didnt listen to his early music.

but yeah, ur sig is funny, i remember watching when that happened, that was rediculous.
Did I ever say he hasn't changed???

no... I said he hasn't DECLINED

there's a difference.. IMO good artists can change and evolve with the times while still making good music

and I don't wanna hear the argument about him doing songs with akon and t-pain... he has 2 mainstream type songs with them on the album... and the songs aren't thaaat bad IMO... some cool songs to switch to when the beezies are around

and as far as me listenin to his early music... I've been bumpin 40 since like '96... I got all his albums... listen to and enjoy all of them

if you don't like it... I guess that's fine... just don't imply that I'm some new fan of bay area rap who started listening to 40 when Tell Me When To Go came out

and also... most people here on the siccness seem to think the album is dope... and I think MOST of those people have probaly been bumpin 40 for a minute now

and yes my sig is funny. right on

totally disagree w/xxtra. I loved his past 2 albums. I guess its personal preference...
i liked his past 2 albums too but to say they are even as good as grit and grind is faulty. this one is just a bad album. well, maybe its not completely terrible its just nothin special about it. It just has an very run of the mil type of vibe to it.

Good points!!! I've been listening to 40 Water since the early 90's when he was Mr. Flamboyant going Federal! Carlos Rossi, Let's Side, Sohobs, etc. the list goes on and brings back all the great memories.

I never heard any weak albums from 40! If there has to be the one I like the least, it would have to be "Hall of Game". That album is solid though too! Like dude said, "it's all personal preference". I can't wait to blap his new shit on Tuesday! :classic:

I think 40 has never came with a weak album

I would say my least favorite was Loyalty and Betrayal... but that's just MY opinion
