Some people here have their rap history wrong. In 1999 almost nobody outside of ATL had heard of him and he was doing something that was much Miami bass music than crunk. It was only after We Still Crunk in 2000 that he started blowing up.
Do you guys remember seeing Lil Jon driving all over the place back in the day? I remember seeing him dam near every corner of the bay and cali. He blew up after that.
cool song but that lil jon hook is overkill.maybe if i hear it in a club wile drinking it would sound better.i felt the same way about 2 chains music till i heard it in the club.
the chorus aint the beeswax, but i can see that chorus being licensed and used on Bad Girls Club or Real World or some other show with reckless youngsters. it definitely has that feel.
40 set out to make a single that would appeal to 21 year olds partying in Vegas for Memorial Day weekend and he pretty much hit the nail on the head.
BART stopped being 40's target demographic for a radio single a long time ago. if BART likes his single its a plus, not an indication of how well it will do on the radio or in the clubs.
just some food for thought amongst the "THIS SHIT SUCKS" posts :classic:
