how is this song any different than u & dat? 40 been havin a song wit a r&b chorus on his albums since day 1.

I actually liked "U and Dat".....But I just feel like someone said earlier, this song sounds "generic" and not as original as 40 songs usually are....I just don't think abandoning the Hyphy/Crunk sound right now for more average sounding music right now is a good move...But as someone also stated, 40 is also a Businessman and a 20 year vet so he would know what kind of music people like better than myself....

Clyde, Federation, The Pack, Kafani, & Big Rich all had a pretty decent opportunity to make noise as well....Considering these numbers I don't know why people are whining about the Bay not getting deals???? Including the vets, that brings the total to 10 major or Koch deals and still a nothing....Combine that with the 10 or so artists SMC or other Indie Labels put out and.....Sorry but I'm totally off subject.....

I agree. Bad business skills is what killed the hyphy hype. It seems like everyone who got some attention after 40's last album went from being a star in the bay to being another rapper on a labels roster. I think that if anyone around here wants to capitalize off of 40's next album they only have to do one thing, make a better album, and treat it like one. Instead of competing with each other, bay rappers just like to hate. Competition will bring a better quality product out of the bay, and weed out weak rappers. I think that the next 3 big bay releases are 40, Jack, and Quinn. I hope every time they step in the booth they are thinking of outdoing each other...

"wake it up" is a tight ass song and a bad ass video. As with every Jay Tee, Too Short and Baby Beesh album I'm getting this the day it comes out.

damn i cant wait for 40's new album. got every album 40 has made and i was never disappointed with any of them. all quality, so what if he does a mainstream type of tracks, it sounds great and it looks like it's gonna work. hopefully he can go platinum this time. i wonder what other surprises he has in store for this album. that track with snoop n game sounds like it's gonna be deep.
