I heard DZ went to blanchet
He did. St. Joe's for elementary.

I always bumped into him at the Seattle Prep basketball camps growing up, the whole gym would be wearing the blue and white shirts we were given for camp but he everyday would wear an NBA jersey, the boy stood out but I would've forgetten about him years ago if I didn't hear he was rapping these days.

Still have yet to hear a track from him, but w/ that album's guest features I might have to. I hope it doesn't end up the same as another upper-middle class white kid from Queen Anne/Magnolia area's album did, Dub B's album was garbage.

From an objective standpoint, I don't think his first album was that bad. It had a couple of coo beats, the mixing/mastering was real nice, and the majority of the album had decent lyrics with a few good lines mixed in.

I think a lot of people passed subjective judgement on the album because they let their previous knowledge of DZ cloud their judgement to some degree. If it was some other unknown, non middle class, not from Magnolia cats first attempt at a CD, it would have received better reviews.

I think you're right, excellent point.

I'm guilty of it myself.
