Naw there are only 4 participants mane!! Alot of the bigger names like Carter & McGrady dont enter because of injury risk & dont need the exposure cause they are stars already. Also Carter definitely aint in it cause he has been hurt all year, fuckin pussy!! But yea Jefferson is gonna win and I said it first on this thread!!! GOT EM!!!

Thats what im sayin, these players nowadays think they are some prima donnas n shit.........Actually I think Carter is "hurt" at the moment so he cant compete in the dunk contest. But the same cant be said for healthy players like McGrady, Bryant, Francis, Garnett, and a few others who it seems that they simply just dont feel like doing it. That or the NBA doesnt want them in it (which I find hard 2 believe).......If I remember correctly, back in the day M.J. and Dominique competed in at least 3 or 4 dunk contests each throughout their careers.......McGrady and Bryant (who are the supposed heir apparents to Jordan and the future of the NBA) have competed in a combined 2 appearences.......
The bottom line is that the NBA needs to bring some exitement and rivalry back to the dunk contest like it once did, its not like they have a lack of talent........Wouldnt ya'll like to see Carter go head up against Kobe and then throw McGrady in there with a couple of the young high fliers like Marion and Richardson? That would be a hell of a lot better than watching these rather "unknown" players throw down unimaginative dunks.

I think its dumb what the NBA is doing, only letting in rookies to third year players in the contest. I would like to see Vince back in it. Even Kobe.
