Driving drunk.

I see people worrying about losing their cars and paying fines...you should be more concerned about possibly killing someone.
My wife was almost killed in an accident a couple years ago.
She was going home about 11:30pm and a car was parked in the fast lane with no lights on and no hazards on. She didn't see the car until it was too late and hit the car going just about full speed.
Turns out the driver was drunk and she hit the center divide and rolled her car about 5 minutes before my wife hit her.
About 5 cars were completely totalled in all...the drunk driver is now partially brain dead...my wife's knees are permanantly messed up, and a kid that was in one of the other cars almost died.
Stop thinking about yourselves and think about what you could possibly do to someone else.

i dont even really drive drunk anymore..after that little run in with the sobriety check that i barely inched past..buzzed, maybe on a weekday.

It's not end case. She is extremely lucky to even be alive...it's a miracle that she wasn't injured worse than she was. Her car looked like a fuckin' pancake.
My wife's knees are permanently jacked...and she can't even see a car crash on TV anymore without crying. That is something that may never go away.
If she died but the driver was brain dead would that still make it equal? Not to me.
I understand what your saying...just trying to put in people's heads. I might be saving a life or two...you never know.

my friend just got a dui on friday, he fell asleep at the wheel and coasted to a stop in front of a middle school as a dance was getting out.
he's lucky as fuck his car didnt hit another car, let alone a human being. honestly he should be dead.
i'll do it but i usually only do it home from the party, im not driving around all night while drinking, unless we got a keg and have to keep bouncing around.

You know i read this whole dame thread and no one asked about how people say:

I myself have drove so intoxicated, i dont even remember coming home from the club on the bus to wake up in my car with it running in a drive thru, or the next morning my car is missing cause i went and drove somewhere and parked on the wrong block, or woke up with the doors open and sweaty with flies all over me in a field but it was because i was blacked out and had no clue. And no one was there to stop me from going out. I havent done that in years tho (except for last year i drank 24 beers in ohio and drove 180 miles back to pittsburgh at 4am, and this year i left a bachelor party after drinking a 3rd of a 5th of goldschlager and a half a 5th of captain to go to another party in the country and i dont remember even getting to the second party except that i woke up under a rug in the morning) Basically if i am not blacked out i know not to do it

here's a suggestion, DON'T BLACK OUT! if it takes a 24 pack to make you black out, then only drink a 12 pack....look to get buzzed, not drunk.
now that I got my dui I make sure if I'm gonna be around alcohol I'm not driving....only because if I blow a .01 in the next 2 years I'm going to jail.
I tend to pay attention more when I'm inebriated. I know it sounds like bullshit, but every fuck up I've had driving was when I was sober. a couple accidents, countless near misses, driving violations, all sober as hell. and I'm a defensive driver most of the time. if we weren't meant to drink n drive then why do clubs & bars have parking lots?
