I dont care who is on it, Id rather it be all unknowns, maybe it will change some mentalities out here regarding artists..there is more to the West the SNOOP and shit. If there are Southern artists..Im cool with that..its about the music...the rap game went from music to Cheerleading for a side and the division is what has helped contribute to the lack of sucess on the West recently.

do you consider the last one a g-funk album? really? by that logic everyone on the west coast should be platinum by now since most artists are stil influenced by the 2001 sound

i feel you.. i just think most of the people that bought dres album back then are that generation of niggaz that still wanna hear that shit resurface. i think there really is 6 million people out there that wanna hear some clean ass westcoast shit. and being that we kinda dictate whats dope, the rest of the world will follow and show support. think about this... if the west didnt validate lil wayne and show him love, would he be even half ass successful as he is?? more power to him though.. just something to think about

i gotta agree...i was somewhat disapointed with 2001 cause it DIDNT have that g-funk sound i wanted. and yeah, people are still duplicating that sound, and thats why i said everyone is just gonna ride with whatever sound dre decides to go with this time around.

don't be so sure about that wayne would've sold a lot regardless....anyway as long as dre brings something new to the table with some of that signature sound we all love i'm good....i just don't want a bunch of recycled beats that sound like they were made 10 years ago...no fucking way...

and dre defines what the west coast sound is.
.
Says who????? Dre defines Dre's sound. Or LA sound. The west is made up of many different styles & sounds.

Theres no particular West Coast sound cuz u get a different sound in every part of the West If I say E-40 defines the West Coast sound people would say "no, he defines the Bay sound", if I said the same about Gangsta dre niggaaz would say "no thats that Sac shit", and if I said Cricet beats define the West Coast niggaz would say "no thats that Dago shit, or that South East shit".

Mothafuckas act like LA music or LA artist speaks for the enitre sate of Cali or the entire west coast
