Went to the page (actually before this post), sat and actually listened to the whole song (that's a 1st), and I'd have to answer this question with: borderline.
Hip-Hop music was born/created in a poverty-stricken environment and all forms of it to date are offspring of that. I understand that, great. I wasn't really offended. Considering I hear shit like this in real life and rap all the time, I could care less, but to me, it makes no sense for someone like Cool Nutz (who is a prominent artist on the Northwest scene) to come out against the race that supports and will support him the most for the rest of his career. And yes, even though Tadou is a glitch to everyone's computer screen, he's right. Portland is 85-90% white. Nowadays, more people of color are susceptible to accepting more white or asian rappers, so you can take the Benzino-shit elsewhere. Me, myself, I can't stand a lot of this suburban backpack rap myself, but being from the burbs (and not trying to prove I'm hard), I still can't knock anyone (whatever race) if they're speaking on their life and being truthful about it. That's what hip-hop has been about. Hip-Hop is street music, always will be, and most that rap now don't understand or are ignorant to the culture and it's beginnings. I know what's up.. and successful rappers do too. Why diss the audience that's gonna show you the most love? Some of 'em are stupid enough (i.e. dead prez fans) to buy into it, but hey.. pretty soon those crackers ain't gonna buy it anymore. I think racism is great, though.. so keep up the good work, Nutz.
