The processor definitely helps but I'd definitely recommend getting a GOOD video card to play Doom 3. I just upgraded mine (bought a NVIDIA Geforce FX 5700 Ultra) and it runs pretty smooth now. I can't use the highest video quality settings but it still looks tight as fuck.

"LOL! how you gonna have all that shit and a 4200rpm hard drive?"

4200 is about the best you can get in this notebook...

I think the fastest hard drive HP makez for their note bookz is 5400.......the reason for this note book is school and personal use, not gaming. I am gonna go with a desk top in the future for gaming. Putting a 10,000rpm hard drive in this note book would probably melt it...

Oh thought you had a desktop.

I downloaded this game on a bittorrent site... do not buy this piece of shit. It sucks ass. Its not even a Doom-esque type of game. Its like every other first person sci fi shooter. Yeah, better graphics... but I still choose Call Of Duty over this game.

@WT

Yea it has a cd-key.

@Chronic

Yea, I mean my video card is coo for most games out now, but my processor is holding it back from pushing it(video card) to it's limit. I want to upgrade that also to the Radeon x800 XT, but I dont think its out yet.
