The union army? They had Black folk fighting against slavery in their armies, not possible. Think you talking about the Confederate army specially because they were in the south.

they not all black but alot of them are aat least by American standards, remember haiti and the DR were one island before, and it was under the dictator of Trujillo that they started to super implement that racist shit (in post colonial times), Trujillo had Haitian ancestery, hated himself. But I'm with these dominicans now, and the majority look like light skinned blacks, some look like straight up niggaz, some look like mestizos (the "regular" latino look).
