BTW, this is not the first time GWB has stated he has talked to god. A couple years ago Dubya said that "God told me to strike Al-Qaeda, so I struck. He told me to strike Saddam, so I did."

LOL, the BBC is taking this story and running with it. isnt this the same story that all you conspiracy theorists have been pushing for a couple years already?

the funny thing is that the BBC has such a deep hatred for W. that they would print some palistinians saying that this was told to him behind closed doors.

i would like to see the tape to believe it.

all these meetings are recorded and made into "Big Media" events. yet all the proof that they have is that it was said behind closed doors.

LOL at the BBC taking the word of members of the Palistinian Authority.

Abbas denies Bush's 'mission from God' remark

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has denied an account by another Palestinian official of a meeting with US President George Bush in which Bush is cited as saying he believed that God told him to go to war in Afghanistan and Iraq.

A statement in Abbas's name released by his office said an excerpt from an interview with Palestinian Information Minister Nabil Shaath due to be broadcast by the BBC in which Shaath described a meeting with Bush in June 2003 gave a "completely false" account.

In the interview for the series, Israel and the Arabs, Shaath described the meeting, at which he said Abbas was present.

"President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, 'George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan.' And I did. And then God would tell me, 'George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq.' And I did,'" Shaath said.

"This report is not true," the Abbas statement said today. "I have never heard President Bush talking about religion as a reason behind the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. President Bush has never mentioned that in front of me on any occasion and specifically not during my visit in 2003."


The series, Israel and the Arabs: Elusive Peace, will be broadcast in Britain on October 10, 17 and 24, and in its entirety on the US Public Broadcasting Service on Monday.

Do you think Bush will restore peace in the mid east? Or he is just there to decrese the mid east and begin his own revolution by taking over the world?

I dunno, he might be telling the truth but he might be lying.

Is he going to do that just because of his "physco conversations"...Bin laden prolly has the same thoughts.

Is bush in for something bigger or not? what do you people think bush is going to do?

I heard he will try to take syria over? He doesn't have much time left in his "great"(lmao) presidential position
