Does George Bush have a “God-Phone” similar to the “Bat-phone?”

Apparently, God and George are on a first name basis. It gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside to know that God and King George are such good friends.

It’s also nice to know that God apparently doesn’t have any power and the only person who can make peace is King George.

President George W. Bush told Palestinian ministers that God had told him to invade Afghanistan and Iraq - and create a Palestinian State, a new BBC series reveals.

In Elusive Peace: Israel and the Arabs, a major three-part series on BBC TWO (at 9.00pm on Monday 10, Monday 17 and Monday 24 October), Abu Mazen, Palestinian Prime Minister, and Nabil Shaath, his Foreign Minister, describe their first meeting with President Bush in June 2003.

Nabil Shaath says: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, "George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan." And I did, and then God would tell me, "George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq …" And I did. And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, "Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East." And by God I'm gonna do it.'"

Abu Mazen was at the same meeting and recounts how President Bush told him: "I have a moral and religious obligation. So I will get you a Palestinian state."

Hans, that's fine if you dont like the BBC, but I can also post this story from other sites as well. Personally I read it in the Seattle P.I during my lunch break. I googled it and found it on the BBC. I suggest you google it as well and pick a website that you trust.

BTW, this is not the first time GWB has stated he has talked to god. A couple years ago Dubya said that "God told me to strike Al-Qaeda, so I struck. He told me to strike Saddam, so I did."

He also stated before he became president that "I feel like God wants me to run for President."

A lot of people are told to do things by a voice, or voices. It's called schitzophrenia.

I just want him to pause during a national address, look up and say,
" What God..? Not now, Lord, I am talkin' to the people. Haha, yea, they'll believe anything.. Oh, Lord, make sure you erase that from their minds with your mighty power, ok? Har har! Now, as I was sayin'..."

My "100% BULLSHIT" statement was a bit extreme. What I meant was that the UK does not like our country at all, so it shouldnt surprise anyone when they see the most out of the ordinary, unbelievable stuff coming from them.

however, I did in fact look up a couple sites on google and I read very similar accounts among other articles, BUT I'm still very curious to know where these articles recieved this information from. anyone can make things up and tell all sorts of newspapers and raio station about it, doesn't mean it's true. I'm not questionng how good the websites, newspapers, or tv stations are- what I'm questionging is how reliable the source they recieved their information from is.

Bush claimed God told him to invade Iraq, Afghanistan: BBC
Thu Oct 6, 6:05 PM ET

LONDON (AFP) - US President George W. Bush allegedly said God told him to invade Iraq and Afghanistan, a new BBC documentary will reveal, according to details.

Bush made the claim when he met Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas and then foreign minister Nabil Shaath in June 2003, the ministers told the documentary series to be broadcast in Britain later this month.

The US leader also told them he had been ordered by God to create a Palestinian state, the ministers said.

Shaath, now the Palestinian information minister, said: " President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God.

'God would tell me, 'George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan'.'

"And I did, and then God would tell me, 'George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq...' And I did.

"'And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, 'Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East.' And by God I'm gonna do it'," said Shaath.

Abbas, who was also at the meeting in the Egyptian resort of Sharm al-Sheikh, recalled how the president told him: "I have a moral and religious obligation.

"So I will get you a Palestinian state."

A BBC spokesman said the content of the programme had been put to the White House but it had refused to comment on a private conversation.

The three-part series, "Elusive Peace: Israel and the Arabs", charts the attempts to bring peace to the Middle East, from former US president Bill Clinton's peace talks in 1999-2000 to Israel's withdrawal from the Gaza strip.

The programme speaks to presidents and prime ministers, their generals and ministers, about what happened behind closed doors as the peace talks failed and the intifada grew.

The series is due to be screened in Britain on October 10, 17 and 24.

Well, that’s true and it’s always good to remain a bit skeptical when reading the news, but, as I pointed out, this isn’t the first time Bush has said something like this, which IMO, makes the story more believable. But, take it as you want.
