You lost me when you said he act like a pussy, the guy is one of the toughest guys in the NFL. He literally took a beating last year with the Redskins and was hit probably more times then any QB in the NFL and kept getting back up fighting. He's not on my team no more but I respect him for that. You guys get a few olineman that can make him comfortable and a possession receiver and he will be pretty good for you. Gradkowski is one of them qb's that you gotta love to see him play because of his energy and heart, unfortunately he's just a spark...haven't proved he can play a whole season.

At the beginning of the year I was for Gradowski starting, now that we've won 3 in a row with Campbell starting, I say keep him in there. He has played good enough to keep starting for us.... We were without Murphy and Miller and Campbell still held it down.

My vote would be to continue to start Campbell.

Cable does some QB misdirection

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Monday, November 8th, 2010 at 4:08 pm in Oakland Raiders.

The Raiders didn’t call any reverses against the Chiefs, but a three-game win streak had coach Tom Cable running one on Monday.

In response to a question about what quarterback Jason Campbell had to do to earn his trust, asked in large part because of the previous week’s stance that Gradkowski was No. 1, here is what Cable said:

“He has my trust. I wouldn’t play him. There’s no way, if I didn’t trust Jason I would have played Kyle (Boller). It’s a non-issue. I’m not going to put him out there unless I believe in him,” Cable said. “You’re all getting with where am I going with the quarterback thing, Jason’s our quarterback right now and Bruce isn’t healthy yet, enough to have this conversation, that’s where this is at. ”

The follow-up question was if Cable had wavered at all with regard to Gradkowski as the starter if healthy when the Raiders played Pittsburgh after the bye.

“I really haven’t wavered, but I do have a belief in me about when you’re dealing it and you’ve got the hot hand and things are going in the right direction for your football team, why would you make a change,” Cable said. “ That’s what I think right now, but in the back of my mind I also say, it’s not really making a change. He was starter before I made the change with Bruce and he’s kind of come back and done a lot of good things for our team.

“ What’s the negative of this? Well, I’ve got a problem, I’ve got two good quarterbacks healthy again. That’s the only negative I see about it. I’m probably leaning toward staying with the hot hand.”

How about a hint?

“I think I just gave you one,” Cable said.

Exactly one week ago, this was how Cable fielded a quesiton about staying with Gradkowski as a starter even though the Raiders were on a two-game win streak after being Seattle:

“It’s clear cut. There’s no issue there in my mind. What we’ve done is some nice things in the last two weeks. You got to take your hat off to Jason . . . so, it’s a nice job on his part, as well as the rest of the offensive players. But, we know who our quarterback is.”

More to come . . .

JC works hard but unfortunately he looks just like Jawalrus out there more often than some are willing to admit.

Here is an interesting stat on JC. People say he has a big arm but he has never produced results with it.

2010 he ranks 26th for 20+ yds completions.
2009 17th
2008 20th. The sad part is Jawalrus had more 20+ comps than JC in 2008. He was ranked 14th.
2007 17th
2006 didnt even make the list

i agree Campbell hasn't been great... but honestly... Bruce hasn't been great either this season

I say stick with Campbell because we're winning... we don't wanna keep switching our Quarterback every few weeks

honestly I'm cool with either one... because at the end of the day it's our running game and defense that's gonna win us games... not our QB

bruce was alble to make good things happen when the run game and the D weren't playing so well. imagine what he'd be able to do now, with the O-line actually giving him time to make plays.

true...

but remember Bruce was playing like absolute shit against SD before he got hurt... then Campbell came in and put up a QB rating of 117.6 in that same game

also, Bruce has thrown a lot of passes this season that should have been interceptions, but defenders just couldn't hold on

like I said... neither QB is that good... both are pretty average

but I think both can play good enough to get it done if our running game and D continues to play great

My pops likes Bruce and brought up a good point, being Bruce is injury prone and may be better inserted in when Campbell is clearly struggling to give the team an energy boost.

I like Bruce at qb still though. This is turning into a good problem to have, really. Just win baby, is all I care about regardless of who it is.

My problem with Campbell is he makes some very bad throws and i simply dont have much faith in him. Cant see him getting it done against the Steelers D. We have seen Gradkowski play good against the Steelers last season, its a no brainer to me but Al Davis is in favor of Campbell so unfortunately i think he will start
