whar sucks to is that chase is an east coast bank, unfamiliar with california lifestyles. thet dint realize thar if we see small banks in the cuts we hold them up.

but in realness, that sucks. its hard dealing witg bankers because they dont give a shit year round. only advice that worked for me but took years to use is manage my miney better. if i dont got it they wont get more of it

I used to work for Chase doin telephone banking. that 2 dollar nonchase atm fee was always there. And theres no point talkin to the managers or branch about overdraft. customers get one courtesy refund up to 70 each year. and not even a manager is going to refund you extra unless its from a bank error.
Hey man I appreciate getting some decent info about it... I still don't understand why they just started charging me this fee (without notice) last month when I've been with the bank for at least 4 months now... Must be close to a year now really.

ya. when i was workin there jus a couple weeks ago, there was a whole lot of pissed off wamu customers calling in about the changes, especially since a lot of them had a overdraft reserve that disappeared when they converted to chase. Also the reason you may have jus started getting those fees suddenly is because they didnt convert all states at the same time. They did a couple at a time.

I bank w/ Wells Fargo and they do that shit too. Bank charges 2.00 dollars on top of whatever the ATM charges you. All the gas stations around here carry US Bank ATM's. I can never find a got-damn Wells Fargo ATM when I need one so I've decided Imma say fuck them and switch over to US Bank. That's unfortunate Zero, but I'd say fuck 'em and take your business elsewhere. Oh and another new thing Wells started doing... I used to cash my mom's checks for her all the time, she'd sign them over and I'd cash them no problem. Now they want her there present or to have an account with them in order for me to cash it. I understand the concept and everything, but I've been a member with Wells Fargo since '94 and it was my MOM'S fuckin' check and if they looked at my account they'd see I've been doin' it forever. The little fuck wouldn't let me do it a couple weekends ago, claiming she had to be present in order for him to do it. I was like, "Yeah, but she's my Ma... look at my account, I been doin' it for years. Besides that, I've been a member with this bank for 15 years... you really think I'm tryin' pull some fraudulant shit?" FUCK WELLS FARGO!

NY Senate is looking to pass a law to change that... Too bad that doesn't help me NOW. When the NY government is calling bullshit on banks, you know something is fucked up.

Oh and does it still cost only 35 to go over 350 if I do it all at one store?
The government also passed regulations on credit card so that you can't go over your limit and to put tighter restrictions on how they change the APR so hopefully banks are next.

Not sure about Chase but at Bank of America if you overdraft 350 at one store they will charge you 35 if it was the only transaction that day. But if you had $20 spent 5 one place 10 somewhere else and 350 at another they make the transactions go through so that the 350 goes first then the smaller ones and you will have 3 overdraft fees. They say this is because they don't want larger transactions to not go through like if you were paying your bills or rent but it is really so that they can run up the fees on you.

I got a generic email back from Chase last night and the general idea of the whole message was...

"Go fuck yourself."

They basically sent me a cookie cutter response with my name pasted into the appropriate places. Imma take my shit out and run with my BofA account, I suppose.

Guess I just have to take it as a loss.

you have to call C.S. man, and ask for upper management if the manager cannot even help you. i had to do that a few times, and usually the head honchos of the bank have more important shit to do than hear people wolfin to them over the phone, so they approve you on most cases.

your situation sounds like a few of my past ones. ive floated in that same boat my friend

^ wondered that too. all my overdrafts has always been on stupid small purchases like a slurpee and a six pack.
I got a hoe ass overdraft story. I sent my brother into to McDonalds and told him to get 2 Double cheeseburgers and a fry knowing i would have a dollar to spare. They charged me for 3 Burgers and a fry. They couldnt reverse the charge because they are fucking dumb and i the bank wouldnt freeze the overdrafts which roll over every 3 days. So in total i paid 99 dollars for a dollar menu burger i never ordered or even got.

what the fuck!?? dude, thats cold
Thats some hoe shit:mad:

I dont trust banks at all because they always trump out these phantom charges. Shit comes outta no where. Chase was a huge thorn in my side for that shit. Somehow i overdrafted when i didnt even use my damn card for 2 months and had well over a hundred bucks in the account.

chase has an overdraft protection shit were you only pay 10 bucks instead of the 35... its still wack but saves you 25 bucks.. as for the 2 dollar non chase atm charge it is kinda common but i never use any other atms so its all good..
