You know what else I noticed is that these contacts work great in the daytime, however they seem blurry at night or in artificial light... headlights and streetlamps have that hazy glare to them.
Yup. You'll notice a lotta shit like that. I got stigmatism too, so they don't even completely work when it's a brand new script. (glasses correct stigmatism but not contacts). my glasses from about 3 years ago are clearer than my contacts, because of the stigmatism. also i frequently notice it getting blurry and clear again. enserio is right, I always worry about a fight or sleeping and losing it in my eye socket or some shit. lol.
I was pissed because of all these downsides I noticed the first time I got contacts. Plus I never got the hang of taking em in and out. The one of the laziest cats I know got contacts and so I was like, shit I can do it.
Then I got em again and I've had em ever since. You get used to taking them in and out. I take em every night. I've never been caught having to sleep somewhere and not being able to take them out. Sometimes I have chosen to keep them in while I sleep. They feel a little dry in the morning, it's never been that bad. Sometimes I'll put eyedrops in, that kinda helps.
Yeah there's a general discomfort wearing contacts. They get dry all the time, I feel so much bettter when I take off my contacts at night. On Fridays when I have full days (wake up at 7 to go to school, might go to a party or some shit until 1-5am), they feel annoying, my eyes get red (yes sober) and dry, feels like something's in your eye. Eyedrops only seem to help temporarily, and I don't think you're supposed to rely on all-purpose eyedrops to keep your eyes feelin good.
For me, the good outweighs the bad, but yeah I got pissed at all the negative sides of contacts that I wasn't expecting, and I even went back to glasses like I said, but I reconsidered. Also I think I look better without glasses.
