Im sure if people who listen to KPOO saw the album cover for DOBAD, they would agree that its the WORST ALBUM COVER OF THE YEAR. I know not to judge the book by its cover, but dobad aint changin shit like ya'll say. just by the cover I think he's a joke.

Im just saying, if you gonna have a rapper you THINK could change the game, you need to come with a tighter cover than a guy who looks like a white trash rocker who thinks he hard and can rap. Im sure just by that cover, plenty of people passed on buying the album

So what your saying is instead of being real lets put on a front?

What does this got to do with the interview? Huh Shadow? Just using this opportunity to throw Haterism draped as a Trojan horse?

Let it go Shadow. If people think it's tight, they will buy it. If they don't know dude, a lot of people wouldn't buy it. But fuck, if the music is tight, and I know it...I would buy a burned CD with a cover made from a baby photo and regular printer paper...lol

I'm not saying you're a hater, you're opinionated like everybody else. But you don't need to come at SCR like that EVERY TIME they make a post.

soak this up

i aint heard Dobad yet but i agree with shadow to an extent....
ya'll gotta realize that this rap shit is a black game.thats the truth.if a mothafucka thats white, mexican,or asian puts out an album with his face on the cover then your limiting your sales.now you can say look at darkroom famila, they were the highest selling rap artist in the whole valley.but 99.9 percent of the fans buying it were mexican or more specificly Nortenos.now they made there cash and that was there main focus so they didnt lose shit.but the first thing a "no name" has to deal with when a cosumer see's his album is the cover.serious,if you aint black then you got a strike against you.the games already hard and saturated with bull shit that a mothafucka aint gonna take the chance with his 15 dollars if you give him a reason.me.i been rappin for 10 years since i was 12.takin it seriously since '95.im mexican.now im barely gettin my foot in the local seen but i fuck with every body from the town thats dropped shit.and mothafuckas feel me.now my plan is to drop a maxi single or some shit with a good cover but not my face because thats gonna limit me.now in a few songs you can tell im mexican but by the time you'd here that shit your gonna already like me or not....
travel the valley and bay and slang my shit.so when my album drops i'll already have a fan base so my picture on the cover aint gonna make a big difference....

for an example look at Bullets thread, his boy got an album.mothafuckas wanna clown cus the way he looks.strike 1.those mothafuckas aint gona buy his shit obviously.now if the cover didnt have his picture then you aint gonna give the mothafuckas who wanna clown a chance too.if they buy it they buy it,if they dont then they dont.but eliminate every possible aspect of a mothafucka passin your shit up.this costs money and a lot of effort to drop an album.take every rode possible into you see'n your money back and maybe a little extra....

now its easy to say "dont judge a book by its cover" but in reality, every mothafucka does....

I don't think Shadow was referring to DoBad's race, I think he was just saying he thinks the cover looks gay. About the whole post you just made. Do you know what the world's largest consumer of rap music is?? White, middle and upper class teenagers. Why did Eminem sell so many albums? He said it in his last album...they relate to what he's saying. These consumers love hearing about struggles on the streets, shoot em up, bang bang and all that...but they buy more albums when you are speaking TO THEM and FOR THEM...thats what all rappers need to realize. They need to speak for the YOUTH, not of any particular race, but ALL RACES...Columbine was proof that shit happens EVERYWHERE, and it's proof that all kinds of kids from all races have their own struggles, no matter where they were raised, that are just as valid as kids from the ghetto.

Race has nothing to do with it anymore playa. I've never had anybody say some shit like, "Oh, this cat is white, I aint gonna buy this"....I've actually heard, "Oh damn, let me check that out...you the next Eminem or what?" HAHAHA...of course the answer is "Nawww"...but you get what I'm sayin. I think if you hide what you are, more people are going to question the validity of your music. Why wouldn't you want people to see you? Will they tell everybody you're fake if they know you? Are you scared? These are all questions people ask if you keep your identity a mystery, and they are all questions you will have to answer in the long run. The more real you come with your shit, the more respect you will get...and that includes letting people know who the fuck you are...feel me?

I did the same shit...but I decided to show myself on the cover...cause I have nothing to hide from anybody...that is probably what DoBad thought too. If people don't like it, tough shit...he probably made the music for people who like his music, not his picture...plain and simple.
