The very first post in the thread, by the thread maker, implies that everyone is racist if they think Obama is Muslim. Obviously that's a false statement. The stats in the poll probably disprove it.
its good, I don't think anyone actually believes everyone who thinks obama is a muslim is a racist lol, you're just taking it too serious.

I don't think Obama is a Muslim... I think he worships money like the rest of the rich presidents we've had... The Bush's, Clinton, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, all of them... All of those mother fuckers were rich before hitting the White House... It all comes down to politics, and it's not good politics for Obama to use the religion card right now... If something were to come up in terms of a terrorist attack, he'd reach for it with the quickness, just like Bush did...

I believe he is Muslim.

I would like to say I have nothing physical to base that on, but I believe he simply looks like many Muslim men, and that association is good enough for me to base my opinion on.

When Reverend Wright was in the news everyday Obama claimed that he wasn't listening in church and didn't absorb any of his radical rhetoric (as people have referred to it). Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. Again, another reason why people might be confused.
that's not what he said at all.. i was following all that election shit very closely @ the time. obama said he was not present for the sermons that caused so much controversy from rev. wright. what politician would say "i wasn't listening in church"??? lmao

but yes, part of the reason obama joined that particular church was for political/civil rights reasons--- networking. anybody who was anybody in chicago went to that church (@ least as far as ppl he was looking to connect with goes). pretty sure he made that clear in his 1st book?

you either must say you are of another faith that claims blasphemous things, which Christianity is, because they claim that Jesus is God
I was enjoying this post up until this part. I've never met a Christian that says Jesus IS God. I've heard quite the opposite, like "God sent Jesus into this world"..."Christ is the son of god"...etc etc etc.

Every religion has their own agenda. Unfortunately, many of those agendas are to discredit other religions. I've heard Christians try to discredit Catholicism because Catholics "praise Mary", but in reality they praise God and Jesus, and include Mary because without her, Jesus wouldn't have existed.

Everybody should practice whatever the hell they want...but be righteous about it. Don't hide it, and don't talk shit about other people and their religions.

It's so funny how religion is about acceptance, tolerance, love, etc....but the most religious motherfuckers have NONE of those qualities.

^Really? I've met a bunch that claim jesus = god.
Then they are either born-agains or don't pay attention in church/haven't read the bible.

I had a Christian lace me with some religious game a while back, and he said to even REFER to GOD as HE or SHE is blasphemous, because it puts God in human form. To think God is human, or even recognizable by humans, is both ignorant and arrogant.

My ex-fiance became a born-again, and she told a little Asian girl that Buddha is a false God. There are wackos out there who have NO CLUE!

Oh, and maybe it's because they DID read the bible and took it completely out of context.

For example.

John 5:18 - "For this cause therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God."

John 10:30-33 - "I and the Father are one." 31The Jews took up stones again to stone Him. 32Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" 33The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God."

There is a clear distinction between Jesus and God all over the bible, so those who claim Jesus is GOD need to go back to bible study.

Yeah, most of us know there is a clear distinction yet these super Christians are always pushing Jesus as God, even if they say "do you accept Jesus as your lord and savior," no. No man can be my lord or savior but the God of him who created both him and me can (if you believe in that.)

The Bible says Jesus and God are both God

Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are both separate and one

They are both the same and separate

Anyways, Christianity isn't subject to Islam's standards, because it is its own religion.

Christians aren't assigned with the task of making Christianity mesh with Islam, and most of the people trying to arent Christians

Yes but being the Son of God and being God are the same thing. It's like, what is Jesus made out of if he is divine and the son of God? Is he stuffed with pillowcase and tic tacs? Obviously he must be God as well.
