That graph is incorrect because it doesn't account for the increase in instrument sensitivity over that same time span.

Thermometers sucked in the 1800's.

You bastard.

Although, I did find out that in the late 1800's, thermometers used a bimetallic temperature sensor; which, while not as good as a "liquid" thermometer, was ground breaking for the time. It was fairly accurate.

I think we're past the point of "if" it is happening. The biggest concern is why this is a political debate. The issue of climate change isn't a conservative vs liberal viewpoint, it's a conservative vs. scientist debate. It's clear to see that the Koch brothers (and the like, even those who are invested in oil themselves) are responsible for this way of thinking but what really bothers me is how people who watch Fox News, I mean those around me, friends and even some of my own family, still believe this is not happening because of what dumbfucks like Ted Cruz tell them. It's infuriating.

It's a free society. All opinions should be respected.

You hate Fox newswatchers but do you also equally hate CBS/NBC/ABC watchers? Because they are both equally stupid.

The gubmint is full of shit and just because someone has scientist for their title does not mean they are always right or always telling the truth. Science is always adapting and always learning something different than previously thought or assumed.

The world is 4.5+ billion years old. The propaganda being thrown out there is based on a weather record of .0000027 % of that time-frame (not even 1%). The sun, which is also 4.5+ billion years old would be the real concern here. How long before the sun "burns out?" As stars age, their temperature increases- which would be the real concern on earth.
