Great News to the people of California

You have a guy on the ballot now that knows whats going on in the economy and will fix it by cutting spending and cutting taxes. I recommend you do not vote for McCain or Obama.

Ron Paul Becomes Qualified as Write-In Candidate in California
Posted by Eric A. Garris at October 23, 2008 04:34 PM

The California Secretary of State will announce tomorrow that Ron Paul has been certified as an official write-in candidate for President.

This means that write-in votes for Ron Paul in California will be counted, although the numbers for write-in votes are rarely reported until weeks after the election.

Some observers have predicted that Paul may get as many as 250,000 write-in votes nationwide, although they will not be counted in other states. Ron Paul is on the ballot in Montana and Louisiana. A Montana poll released today gave Ron Paul 4.2%, exactly the difference between Obama and McCain (Bob Barr receives 1% in this poll).

In order the qualify Ron Paul as a write-in for California, former Libertarian Party state chair Gail Lightfoot recruited 55 electors who had to file notarized forms with the Secretary of State.

In 1976, former Senator Eugene McCarthy received more votes as a write-in in California than Libertarian Party candidate Roger MacBride (who was on the ballot).

On a personal note: I must confess that I contributed $200 to Bob Barr during the early days of his campaign. I am so disappointed with his campaign that I am serving as an elector for Ron Paul from California, and will be writing him in on my ballot.

Chomsky says while it's true that the two parties are essentially like factions of one party - the party of business - the differences do matter to ordinary people. If you are living in a swing state, there is nothing wrong with picking the lesser of two evils.

Nobody in politics is fully aware of the situation and problems we're facing, or if somebody is, he isn't going to change and can't change anything

Still, this time it is clear which the lesser of the two evils is

I read some of his speeches that predicted all these problems we are facing today. :ermm:

I'm new to living in the state, but I hope you are not the same people that voted an Actor to run Cali. With All respect to his career, I dont think the govenator should have jumped in Politics. Before the Wall Street crash, there was a Cali crash where people with state jobs (probably one of the stable jobs) were either let go or wage dropped to minimal... and we still hurting for money, they gonna lay off school staff now.

I like Ron Paul and everything, but why vote for a guy who has no chance? you might as well not even vote.
That is a retarted statement, its like saying you are voting for an ice cream flavor you like, you're fave flavor of ice cream is chocolate but everyone else is voting for strawberry or vanilla. Are you gonna vote for your fave flavor or vote for the other flavors because chocolate doesnt have a chance? :ermm:

i agree with xxtramanish.. you basically throwin' away your vote... this isn't ice cream... but if it was.. let's say.. i love chocolate.. but half the guys want vanilla and half the guys want strawberry.. now.. if i vote chocolate.. we're not eatin' chocolate.. but.. i like vanilla and hate strawberry.. so.. i already know there is no chance of eatin' chocolate.. but i can easily eat vanilla if i choose it... but instead.. i want to be a maverick and vote chocolate.. and now i'm stuck with strawberry... does that make sense.
