I copped at FYE the other Day, Feelin Quite a few tracks. Was suprised at how the vocals sounded but all good cause it was mixed well all things considered. Def Better than the last album. Filthy, did you try any pop/hiss eliminator? The roughness gives it that "Grindhouse" feel you know, like grainy but on purpose you feel. Gotta soak it up some more but so far so good. FYE got em for 9.99 each all day. One thing I noticed they had alot more copies of the Unforgiven remaster than the actual new release U2.

one thing i noticed though is that the interlude beats from filthy rich are the best beats! x shoulda rapped on those! haha...
I honestly felt the same way, those interlude beats were more raw and X-Raided style in my opinion.

Album is really good though. The vocal quality does not bother me at all, I'm not sure why people are even bringing that up. It sounds to me like anyone that is hearing so much static that it interferes with the songs did not (or can not) fuck with the equalizer. Cause at first it sounded pretty crackly, but after a few adjustments it sounded pretty damn perfect in my car.

I honestly somewhat enjoy that "over the phone" sound, it adds to the feel of the songs. It will never be as good as it was on The Xorcist though, that album just sounds raw, like you know it is being recorded from prison.

I was gonna say the same thing about the interlude beats. I wish X could've spit over those beats. That's one of the tightest intro beats I've heard in a long time. U2 is prolly my favorite album to come out since '05. That might be understating it.jmo Grandparents is the shit. So is Burn wit Raided, Kill or be Killed, Final destination, Good mornin Amerikkka, really like Super Chicken,(everybody's grown up with or has been with a super chicken), Darkness Descends is super creative and dark, love that, and Nefarious verses is sicc as fuck.......those are just my favorites though, everything on the album is really good. Also diggin the remixes on U1 alot. Rich came wit it on both projects. I'm highly recommendin both albums to anybody who listens to hip-hop.

Ok, that's what I was thinkin happened. I'v had experience in this restoring my old cassette tape recordings so I know how it is. I'v been able to make em sound alot better but you do lose some of the vocal when you do too much, glad X is doin it at all right now you know! How was the Ignition CD recorded? Wonder if that's a possibility for the future.

the beats are solid, the 2 intro tracks were viscous and i was hopin for a spit or two on the assisted suicide track. im not even hating the grain in the vocal quality because the content otherwise is quality. the beats are hard and dark and compliment X raided style....seriously though, could you imagine this with quality vocals? it would be completely insane.... by the way it was purchased today

Copped last night, and X is fucking killing it...perspective and grandparents are my favorites so far...Ionno bout the beats right now though...Most tracks change up to much imo. I'll drop a more full review after a couple more listens but on some of em he was spittin and it sounded cool then more and more shit keeps comin in distracting from the vocals...

The mix on this cd fucking KILLS Eu though...Just would like to hear some more simple beats.

I dont see a problem with downloading it to check it out considering how rubbish that EP was. If you like it buy it, if it sucks like that EP, skip it. Personally, I didn't even bother. I'm tired of being disappointed by Sac-town rappers who I used to love and buy everything from.

Grandparents *

This is probably the best track Rich as produced for X-Raided which suits him most, especially with the instrumental selection. It seems this received more time than previous ones.

The vocals are slightly low (1db) would have completed this minor issue, aside from this it's the highlight to the release.

X-Raided needs more production similar to this, stay with the rhodes and snares, keep that westcoast vibe and hold back on those southern kits...!

^ I honestly felt the same way. No other track had me bobbin my head and feeling that old X-raided feeling as that one. Yea it wasn't really super "gangsta" but it just felt like raided. Similar to "Land of the Lost" imo.

I agree though, the sound of the song matched X perfectly, better than any other beat on the album.

Kinda heartless ta download from a man thats locked up and makes all his money on sellin CD's cause he can't tour. Buy it on GP even if you dont end up slumpin it just on the strength that your support might help the man maybe get out of jail and or at least continue to drop records.
