I just cant help but think when I see Jim Jones, Camron, and all of the there label mates on tv, how much it looks like a slot a westcoast artist should have. I mean lets take Jim Jones example, you dont think Mitchy Slick couldnt fill this slot,even Don Diego. Jim Jone's new album is called P.O.M.E(product of my environment) to me that sound very simuliar to U.S.S.(urban surival syndrome). Basically isnt this the same title? Mitch has been promoting this title for atleast 4 years. Am I trippn?

dang Nemo, it seems like you're bringing up some pretty cliche topics here manne...I understand the motivation to get Dago in the foregront or at least the credit it deserves...but obviously you could say that Jones could be replaced by a cat like Mitch because he's a "gang-bangin' rapper"...he goes up there, does his raps, and flashes some signs...know what I mean?

I dont think I'll ever catch a non-gangsta chick ever knockin Mitch...it's just too rough for the radio...and if he did some softer type tracks, his main fanbase might turn it's back on that type of move

and as far as rap being interchangable, i think that was the wrong word to use..more so I believe what homey was tryin to say was that rap from various regions always borrow from each other

sorry,i dont agree! dipset is one of da dopest clicks in da industry rite now! and im not trying 2 hate but harlem is way more grimmier than dago. why do people call them fake bloods,them dudes push a serious line out there in ny!just face it, niggaz is banging every where!

Speaking of slots that westcoast artists should have, I caught bits and pieces of BET today and I was amazed at how many lesser known Southern Rappers were getting played. I Immediately thought to myself, "Gee, Hyphy music has gotten fairly big, where are all the hyphy videos?" And then it dawned on me, "Oh, I guess that's what youtube is for."
