Dinner & A Movie 1st week sales....

according to hiphopdx lynch's "dinner and a movie" sold about 7,900 copies during its first week whcih lands him at number 68 on billboard. not bads, but i expected more around the 10-20k range, at least it exceeded my minimum prediction of 5k. lynch should be selling more with the fanbase he has or may not have... was anyone really aware besides us strange/lynch/internet fans that the album was coming?? aite lynch/strange get off your asses and start promoting. this makes him the 2nd highest selling act off strange based off first week sales correct?

i think thats about 2500 more than genius sold first week

but lynch should have more staying power than kaliko, id think he could hit 30k over the year with touring

ya that number will climb as soon as soon as people realize Lynch is puttin shit out again.

especially if he drops the rest a the album series 2 DAAM.

People jus dont know yet,but once they see a new lynch solo on the shelves theyll pick it up.

I doubt it. Maybe its just cus i'm not a fan, but I don't see him doing as well as you guys are thinkin. Hasn't it been over a decade since he put anything out? A lot of his fans have probably moved on, so i don't see him having a large fanbase. I could be wrong tho.

No. His last solo was only seven years ago, but he's done some "group/collaboration" albums since, as well as mixtapes/compilations and shit.

Not too bad. Manages to make the highest appearance on the 200 from the label, aside from Tech, topping Krizz' Genius appearance at 85. Though didn't do as well as Loaded did on the 200 or R&B charts. Lynch by Inch also managed to do better on the Independent chart. But coming off of a seven year (solo album) hiatus, definitely not bad.

First week sales were fine. As plenty up here said, Lynch touring will help sales go briskly, as will word-of-mouth, and ive read nothing but good reviews.

We gotta remember, yea, some older Lynch fans arent up on this (yet), and some heads may not take to the horror aspects of the albums. Overall, Lynch will be good. Strange has 3 videos, some full page ads, the street team stuff, etc. They HAVE been promoting dude the way they should.

What the fuck is that shit at the beginning of the song? Yeah, you know you've heard it. Sounds like somebody's really enjoying themselves.
