"Dinner and A Movie, the first of three concept albums Brotha Lynch Hung will release via Strange Music"

Sounds like. However, I thought I read an interview (Murder Dog perhaps) where Lynch spoke of the three albums and mentioned he didn't know if all three would be released through Strange.

Though as long as Lynch stays happy with the way Strange is treating him, and Strange continues to see him as an asset, can't see a reason why they wouldn't keep him around for all three. Though anything can happen with Strange. Look at how they promoted Critical Bill, Ill Bill and Prozak, and each feel through or otherwise disappeared.

EDIT: Looks like you can say goodbye to www.madesicc.com ...

well, i'd say strange made a bad move by releasing techs ep in the same month... Let lynch have his time.. put that ep out at different time, maybe when kaliko or kutt drops something.. not at the same time as your newest addition to the roster.

If they were doing that, it would be dropping in April... :cheeky: Though really, this isn't such a bad idea. The EP stands less chance of hurting Lynch than it does a Kaliko, Cognito or Kutt. Tech has a dedicated following that purchase it regardless of when it drops, and Lynch appears to have a similar following.

Meanwhile, Kutt & Kaliko's following are essentially a subset of Tech's fanbase. They may have some fans that they themselves brought in, but nowhere near the outside fanbase as a Lynch.

Sure, there's an 'open' month in May, but it's not as simple as that. May may (haha) be a busy month for the rest of the industry. Furthermore, pushing it to later in the year to give Lynch his time pushes the release closer to Tech's Collabos window, which wouldn't be too smart. Not to mention, that this is somewhat of an 'extension' of K.O.D., so it doesn't make sense to push this release too far from the K.O.D. release, without it looking like Tech has resorted to releasing cuts from his last album... a year later.

Not to mention that it's only an EP. I doubt it will get anywhere near the push his albums usually get, and the fact it should be cheaper makes it less competition for DAAM and more of a, "Hey, here's a short EP... pick this up too."

That's cause there's nothing up there at this point, other than an empty HTML file that simply establishes the title of the page as "Brotha Lynch Hung." So the site hasn't "gone live." Give it was given in the video which announced that the video for Meat would premiere today at 9PM EST, it'll probably have something up at that point.

I see Lynch's CD most likely being promoted more than K.O.D. & all of the Strange roster It looks like Travis is going for a major budget on this one.
