i'm thinking about doing this.

www.darkdining.com

now i know everyones initial thought is "this is some white people shit!" but the person who created it, is a blind black man.

Its something that started in Europe and is starting to blow up in bigger cities...

his vision (no pun intended) was to let the people whom can see, experience what its like to eat with no sight. I've heard reports of people freaking the fuck out because they cant take the darkness, dropping forks and spoons and bieng clueless as what to do, dropping food, falling, etc.

the interesting thing about this is that when you arent using certain senses, your others are heightened. so the food is supposedly more robust smelling, and more tasty.

i think it would be an interesting night out with a loved one, or even a challenge to a new date, as she'll probably be more interested in looking at you after.

pretty expensive though, $99 per person, three course dinner.

if anyones interested, its in San Diego on the 4th.

but i was wondering, has anyone tried it? how was it? how was the food ? are people hella noisy cuz its dark?

for those that havent, would you try it and if not, why not?

Is there a dress code that has to be followed? I would find that pointless since no one is going to see you in the dark.

I can imagine some perv's getting down like that, but the waitresses would catch you. They all wear night vision googles right?

i guess? ive never been. never even thought about that. i suppose theyd have to wear night vision goggles.
that makes perfect sense...cuz i mean the accident rate with dropping shit or giving people the wrong food would be high.

99 dollars for a dinner im sure theres no dress code as long as you can foot the bill, right...they know aint no broke people coming through anyway..

All these lil questions come to mind like...

Do you have to sign a waiver incase you poke your eye out in the dark?

LOL I'm sure they've worked around all those things

man, there would be moments while eating that i would just get up and do a dance or some shit.

nah kayvee i hear you but my initial point is with that...that a resteraunt is a resteraunt at the end of the day...if i go to ruth chris's steakhouse or something im going to get just as raped...and its going to be 3 shades next to pitch darkness..

at the end of the day its more about the food and going out to do something new....

hater.

lol jk

Did anyone attend CAMP ANYTOWN in highschool??

They have this little experiment to find out how it is to be handicapped.

They make one person have no arms, so they tie up both their hands
They make another blind, so they blind fold them
And then they make on more person both blind and armless.

We all had to eat a meal like that and since the people without arms couldn't eat they had the blind person feed them. LOL that was fun but it got extremely messy.... GOod times
