Yeah their record is 17-17 now so they're a .500 team now. So after they beat the pacers and the celtics they beat two of the best eastern teams and they seem to make the playoffs this year.

And he sure made his point in that Pacers game. But the bottom line is that hes got everyone playing better. Like Larry Hughes is quietly having an outstanding season. Stackhouse is also putting up all star like #'s. Hell, even Christian Laettner is playing solid ball right now.
Not to mention their 2 first round draft picks who were contributing nicely at the beggining of the season have been injured for over a month now.

Thats what being a great player is all about. Gettin your team mates involved and making everyone around you better. People like Kobe cant do that. MJ's not putting up any of his old numbers but he's making much of a difference though. He makes everyone around him better.

Had to throw Kobe's name out there? Maybe cause hes still young. What could he think hes doing wrong, hes won more rings then MJ did at his age. Everyone keeps saying hes not the leader, then they talk shit about how he cant lead a team.

If my Lakers dont make it into the playoffs, im gonna be rootin' for the Wizards. I want MJ to go out and leave no doubt about his skill. Coming in and taking this team as far as it can go, he's making history.

Thad be some shit if MJ fucks around and takes them to the finals. It is really amazing how MJ has totally revamped one of the worst franchises in the las two decades.

But I cant get my hopes up too early, yall remember what happened last year. We were at 29-21, and coming off our best win against Sac and then we fizzled after that. But I dont expect that this year, we are more deep and more talented.

My prediction: Nets vs. Wizards in the conf. finals

@Nitro...first of all, Kobe has been in the league 7 years so it dont matter if he's young or not, he's been there for a minute now. So I dont wanna hear the excuse about him being young. In Jordan's 7th season, the Bulls were a threat, and he had his team playing good but they couldnt get past the Pistons. Face it, Kobe cant make anyone around him better like MJ did. Shaq makes Kobe and Jordan makes everyone on the Wizards team better. Greatness isnt puttin up numbers and steady loosing, it takes a great player to put up solid numbers and still make a big difference. And that all equals up to Michael Jordan, not Kobe.

I didnt want to get off another Kobe discussion, but if you insist. Your missing a big point here. Jordan was the leader of his team the first 7 years was he not? The first couple seasons he had a losing record because he was adapting to his spot on the team. How long has Kobe be in that position? 10-15 games? I never said Kobe was a leader, but no one can be throw to the wolves and succedd just like that. Jordan with his first couple losing seasons didnt win untill Pippen came. The same would happen with Kobe, he would have a couple losing seasons, gain a couple top draft picks, and the same would happen. Kobe is not anywhere near the mental minstate that Jordan was, but anyone with the ability of Kobe, Jordan, McGrady sould do the same. Not make it to the finals year after year as MJ has, but SUCCEED.

Mane, Jordan took his team to the playoffs each season he was with the Bulls. But they didnt pass the first round until he got his second man, which was Pippen. I dont even remember the Bulls being a losing team when Jordan was there because they made the playoffs each year. I dont know what youre thinkin but a team that makes the playoffs isnt a losing team. I just want you to admit it, "Kobe is highly over rated, and that Jordan is still the man no matter how old he gets AND Kobe tries to duplicate his game."

@King Czar...good schooling! Nitro dont realize that you dont have to do nothing to win a ring with a team. You can ride the bench your whole career but if you ride the bench of the team that wins the championship, you get a ring.Thats how it is.

maybe WITHOUT shaq hes been in 10-15 games where he has led his team (btw...most were failures)

but why do you think there have been huge media arguements btw shaq and kobe? because kobe was trying to be a leader by taking all of shaqs game away and being the "hero"
