maybe... maybe not..

but what do we have to lose... all I can tell you is I support this move 120%

sure it's not entirely Russell's fault our offense sucks... but don't sit there and act like he's been lighting it up

actually... I'll say this... I wasn't able to watch the whole game... so can you tell me exactly how many passes Russell threw were dropped? and an estimation of how many yards?

in that game he was 8/23 for 64 yards

those stats are horrible... so I'm just wondering what his stats SHOULD have been... honestly because I'm not sure
probably 15/23 for close to 200 yards.

so 7 of his passes were dropped? well shit... if that's the case then maybe I shouldn't blame Russell so much... I really need to watch that whole game

I was able to watch a some of it online... some of it on red zone... and listened to some on the radio

I'm gonna see if it's still on nfl.com to watch

the passing game cannot get any worse... so we might as well see if it gets better... right?

Cable said that a total of 8 passes were dropped, 4 for each qb. I am not sitting here acting like Russell was lighting it up but to bench him is not right. I thought he should have been pulled from the Jets game though.

I wasn't able to watch the game but I saw some of it on the red zone. As soon as they went to the game, they were talking about how Heyward-Bey dropped a perfectly thrown 50 yard pass from Russell that would have put the Raiders at the 2 yard line. And then the play after that, Russell hit Murphy on a good throw/read for a 53 yards gain and it got called back because Gallery tripped someone.

So there goes 100 yards on a dropped pass and a penalty.... I think Murphy had drops and McFadden even dropped a screen pass. Not sure from who though.

I don't agree with the benching to tell you the truth.

This (a head coach benching a qb for the "teams" poor performance) always happens before the coach gets the ax. If the 2nd string qb comes in and the offense still stalls... then guess what or who gets the ax? Cable! He's taking a big gamble by benching Russell.

If Gradowski comes in and lights it up then Russell was the problem. But I don't see it happening espeically against Cincinnati's defense. I agree with Chad, your qb is only as good as his supporting cast.

Oh yeah while Cable is in the process of benching players for under performing he should bench DHB too! He's the one who cost us the game. If he makes either one of those catches the Raiders most likely win.

Yeah they should keep him in that way Cable has an excuse as to why he shouldn't be fired at the end of the season. If Gradowski comes in and performs worse or just as bad as Russell then what?

The Bengals didn't even give up a TD to the Steelers right?

Hey Meta4iCAL, I was reading on another board and another fan said that he counted 8 dropped passes that Russell threw and the receiver(s) just flat out dropped.

yea and did they also state that the 5 yeard check passes he was throwing 2 yards short of his recievers feet were caused by heavy winds coming in from the west bay.

cable getting fired next week mark my words. This is a dumb move that bossman wont like. Whats the point of getting a couple wins this season? Its not like gradkoswki is gonna be our QB in the future.. I dont get it. Were fucked we need an established QB or draft one or an established WR or draft one. Fuck this team. I'll be there again on sunday but I aint expecting much

Maybe Cable feels that starting Gradowski will eliminate all of the miscues (drops, penalties, mis fires)

If Gradowski comes in and the Raiders start scoring points and showing life then it will be a good move but if Gradowski comes in and the results stay the same then guess what?

The fingers are going to get pointed at Cable.... when is he going to get blamed or be held accountable?

He got away with beating up his former ex wives, girlfriends, he got away when he broke Hansen's jaw and now he's getting away from taking any blame for our 2-7 record. At some point in time he has to be held accountable.
