Davey D aka D. Cohn is not Davey D from KMEL. He is from Pacifica, a very solid producer for whom several other very respected producers would agree. The album is in the same format of his first 2 cds, it doesn't sound like producers gave him a 6 pack, he gives that to himself. The production is handled by Tone Capone (who produced on his 1st album the dude), The Coughee Brothers do at least 6 beats and those are his homeboys aka The Odd Squad, Mike Dean co-produced a few as well, and of course Davey D. To me this is a quality album just like his other 2. Whether he's just laid back talkin about gettin high or gettin laid or whether he's on a topic speakin about somethin to me he's a dope artist, he's definitely pushin around 150,000 to 200,000 which is fine, RAP-A-LOT has there niche, they been around forever puttin out good solid shit and have a fan base. I suppose the commercial on BET for Devin and the add's in The Source, XXL and Murder Dog re-itterate how they never promote either. Bought my copy at Best Buy for 13.99 well worth it.
