depends on what you wanna do with it...if it's just for going on the internet then get a laptop

i have a desktop. i got an upgraded sound card to use my computer as my stereo, and an extra video card so that i can hook up the TV to it...plus i threw in an extra hard drive cuz i have 36,000 songs, hella tv series and 100+ movies...it's not as easy to do all that with a laptop.

Desktop, laptop batteries die quick. Within a year they hardly hold a charge. Unless you never fully charge it or overcharge it
highly dissagree.

had my dell laptop for 4 years now. i leave it on and plugged in for about 3 weeks at a time, then turn it off for about an hour. then back on for another 3 weeks or so.

battery works just as good as it does the day i bought it.

laptops are better for mobilty while desktops have a lot more power in them. so its whatever your looking for.

laptops you can drop it and be shit out of luck quick too.

A battery has cells in it, all batteries die, some take longer than others depending on the cells, they lose their juice. Mine was weak to begin with, and most are unless you upgrade to a better one. Only like 2-3 Cells in my battery, the good ones are 6-8 cells.

i have a laptop and a desktop, i use the desktop for really big jobs, edit my videos and when i have to do high resolution projects on photoshop, illustrator, etc. i mostly use my laptop for internet, downloading movies and textures, fonts, vectors, brushes and shit for smaller photoshop jobs and alot of typing, so it depends on what you are going to be mainly doing.
