Question: Is there more uniformity or common elements in black culture than there is in white culture? If so, does this mean there will always be less Dels and more Soulja Boys? Or does the fault for the lack of variety in mainstream hip-hop lie in the record labels and what they promote? Does it lie in the largely white audience and what they buy? Is experimental hip-hop more likely to be bought or listened to by white people? Is it more likely to be associated with white people?

there's always weird black people, corp. culture jumped on one kind of black and marketed the shit out of it, and the message of "this is what black is" to the masses, and the masses, especially role model deficient blacks, ate it up.

prob. ill explain more in depth my beliefs relating to your questions later.
