The Gas Were Gonna Be Paying For Wont Be As Cheap As Pre 9/11 (Back When It Was Like 1.50/Gallon) But It'll Be Cheaper Then It Is Now

that makes more sense, i dont neccisarily agree but i know what your trying to say..

i dont agree because prices will always be dictated to make the most profit no matter the circumstances effecting the world. for instance, look how they manipulated the market during the elections, before november rolled around we were seeing, what? nearly 3 dollars a gallon, then come election time it suddenly drops back down.. now the elections are over they start the slow increase again but stopped when people wanted to investigate price gouging, but i guarentee you, we will see those high prices again in the near future...

Armen, homeboy look. If it costs 60 Bucks a Barrel, why does it take 40 Bucks to fill my Van, and 35 to fill my homeboys mustang. I know they consume alot of Gas, being that they're V8s, gut 10 gallons is less than a barrell of oil.

I know the try to recoup some of the manufacturing and processing...but it's still a grip. Peep this post I made a long time ago

Current gas and oil prices here:
http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/oog/info/gdu/gasdiesel.asp

http://www.eia.doe.gov/kids/energyfa...wable/oil.html

One barrel of crude oil, when refined, produces about 20 gallons of finished motor gasoline, and 7 gallons of diesel, as well as other petroleum products. Most of the petroleum products are used to produce energy. For instance, many people across the United States use propane to heat their homes and fuel their cars. Other products made from petroleum include: ink, crayons, bubble gum, dishwashing liquids, deodorant, eyeglasses, records, tires, ammonia, and heart valves.
=======================
A barrel of Oil right now is 74.60 http://www.bloomberg.com/energy/
=================
Gasoline- 19.6* $3.25/gal.( at least in Dago)= $63.70
Diesel- 10*$3.10/gal = $31.00
=================
Jet Fuel- 4*$2.19= $8.76 http://www.eia.doe.gov/pub/oil_gas/p...df/table15.pdf
=================
Heavy Fuel- 1.7* (guessing about $2.00/gal) = $3.40
http://www.nrtee-trnee.ca/eng/progra...vyFuel_2_E.htm
=================
Liquified Petroleum Gas(Propane, Heating oil) 1.7*$1.92=$3.27
http://www.eia.doe.gov/pub/oil_gas/p...df/table14.pdf
=================
Other products-(Vaseline,Motor Oil, Cooking oil(Just kidding) I'm guessing around $2.00 compared to the rest so. 7.6*$2.00= $15.20
=================

Added all up they make roughly $125.00 off a $74.60 barrel of oil. A profit of $50.40 or (62.4% profit) from each barrell of oil a company may buy.

Keep in mind the "Big" companies buy and sell millions of barrels at at a time.

Ok...Thanks, but I think I forgot to add the part where making our gas prices cheaper, means killing benevolent people. I rather pay expensive gas prices, than know, that every single day, benevolent people die over bullshit, such as our gas prices, and blood diamonds. Where was this crisis in 1999, when I saw gas prices as low as 99 cents? The Federal reserve takes in all this money, yet can't even pay for the expenses in gas manufacturing?
