What do you think? The signs are out there its happening now. I believe that the world is going to live on long after we are gone, then god will need to create something more knowledgeable then us humans can only use 10% of their brain power, most likely god can use 110%....

we actually use closer to 100%
the origins to the 10% thing are unclear, but i do know people use it to make it seem like we have untapped potential

From what I understand we only use about 10% at any given time but overall we do use 100% just for different things. So like right now typing this I'm using about 10% then if I go and play football for instance I'm still only using about 10% but it's a different 10% mostly. Also I don't think the world is gonna end in 2012.

thats more debateable but it fluctuates too much
any average would be subject to too many factors
i dont remember the exact percentange but your vision processing center in the occipital lobe is well over 10% itself

The future for Apophis on Friday, April 13 of 2029 includes an approach to Earth no closer than 29,470 km (18,300 miles, or 5.6 Earth radii from the center, or 4.6 Earth-radii from the surface) over the mid-Atlantic, appearing to the naked eye as a moderately bright point of light moving rapidly across the sky. However, because Apophis will pass interior to the positions of these satellites at closest approach, in a plane inclined at 40 degrees to the Earth's equator and passing outside the equatorial geosynchronous zone when crossing the equatorial plane, it does not threaten the satellites in that heavily populated region.

Using criteria developed in this research, new measurements possible in 2013 (if not 2011) will likely confirm that in 2036 Apophis will quietly pass more than 49 million km (30.5 million miles; 0.32 AU) from Earth on Easter Sunday of that year (April 13).

Also, keep in mind that the year 2012 was made a popular year for the destruction of the world by Mayan astronomers/astrologers. They did produce the most accurate calander in the ancient world, which correctly to near correctly predicted the dates of eclipses, but does that give them enough merit to predit the end of the world?

I love this thread because I'm really big on Psychology and Astronomy.

ive been up on this shit for long while now, i dunno if i believe it or not, but alot of good evidence is behind it..
also i don't think we use the full potential our brain has
1. i think god is able to use more then 10% of his brain, therefore making him have all these special powers and what not, he is human right? so i think he is just able to use more brain percentage then us, unless hes an alien.. but if he is human then why is there only one special human with these powers? simply cause we have not unlocked the rest of our brain... i also believe that since are brains are so powerful that 10% is just enuff for us too do what we need to live

Ever listened to killah priest? he raps about stuff like this.. hes gotta be one of my favorite artist the way he spits and the stuff he spits about is just tight imo

I have heard of Killah Priest but I don't like rap that tries to touch on these kinds of subjects. I'm not sure why.

2012 isnt the end of the world.
it might be the end of the world as we know it, a paradigm shit if you will. Apocalypse doesn't mean the end of the world neither.

I'm not sure what to think about this shit but there certainly are a lot of "coincidences" regarding 2012

-The Mayan Calendar doesn't go further than 2012
-Terence Mckenna came up with the same date by getting high and analyzing an ancient chinese mathematical divination system. He mapped out a chart of "novelty" and "habit" where "novelty" meant completely new things being introduced to the world (like airplanes, atom bombs, internet etc) , and "habit" meant a repeat of the old ... anyway, he came to the conclusion that in 2012 there would be so much "novelty" that it's very unclear how the world will look like and how it will operate.
-the sun will switch the magnetism of its poles on 2012. it happens every 11 years
-in 2012 the earth will be moving through an area of the milky way where it's somehow aligned with the rest of the sky or some shit
-there's also some theory or a study of "information doubling" and it predicts that the amount of information in the world doubles at a certain rate that is exponentially getting shorter... something about the amount of information in the world being doubled at ridicilously short intervals around 2011 or something...

it's pretty interesting shit... but forgive all that shit is how i remembered it so there might be minor errors and i'm not interested enough to look for the exact figures n shit
