For someone that has complained about pretty much every aspect of the game, you're getting pretty far into it.
im really trying to enjoy it.....im back on the ishimura....in darkness

the sound to this game is incredible though...i think thats why i continue on with it, the suspense that sound provides is great, even though the rest is pretty predictable

Does this game really scare you and/or give you the creeps? I've been lookin for a game that gives me the same sense of dread I got when playing silent hill 2 on ps2. That game was disturbingly great.

I haven't played a Silent Hill game, but Dead Space is VERY atmospheric. Most of the scares come from the necromorphs popping out of vents and such behind you, but the atmosphere is creepy. Cryptic messages written in blood all over the walls and floor, whispering voices all around you, creepy woman singing a children's lullaby where dead bodies and candles are laying around, etc.

PBARB666 - its more atmosphere, your typically walking in dark corridors and then you will see movement but then its gone...and then you'll see arms sneaking up behind or on the sides....that shit has been tripping me out...i'll think its all good then i'll move a little and i'll catch some arms on the side of me.....and now with this

**POSSIBLE SPOILER**

unkillable one that just keeps regenerating i have to say fuck it and just run...i have gotten no where trying to fight it as well as the others that entered the room

CHAPTER 14... IS FUCKING BULLSHIT....AT THIS POINT IT FEELS IMPOSSIBLE....TRYING TO EVADE THAT REGENERATOR IS A NIGHTMARE....I USE STASIS, AND TURN HIM INTO A GIMP ON THE FLOOR THEN THE REST OF THE HORDES COME IN....MEANWHILE MY AMMO IS LOW AND MY HEALTH IS DOWN WITH NO STORES/SAFE ZONES ANYWHERE....WHOEVER DESIGNED THIS LEVEL NEEDS TO BE FUCKING DISEMBOWELED....

Hmm I don't think I killed him. I think I just kept taking his legs off and using Stasis.

I remember in the first Dead Space, you had to lure the regenerator behind that shuttle, take his legs out, hit him with Stasis and then test fire the engines on his ass.

Was there something similar in DS2?

It's not bad level design. It is survival horror. Limited ammo, perfect timing, perfect aiming, all while under instense pressure.

You fail at the game, fam.

There's a big ass fan you can knock him into, that I didn't know about until I had beaten it 3+ times. Saw it on Youtubez.

there is no point to throw that much bullshit into one small area...but it doesnt matter the game gets traded in today at game stop...double trade in credit

im just curious....do you guys use strategy guides? or outside information other than to play the game by trial and error?

i would have never known to use the fan to kill it....

im going to replay chapter 14 now....and kill it...and then trade it in

1. You should probably put SPOILER in your post so those who've yet to beat the game are aware.

2. The general consensus here is that you simply fail at the game.

3. No guides here man. That defeats the purpose of buying a game, playing it, using your brain and getting your monies worth. Why would I want someone to walk me through it and hold my hand? After I've beaten a game I may use a guide to go back and collect things I've missed, but on the initial run? Hell no, it defeats the purpose and flushes the $65 down the toilet.

1 - where did i say anything close to a spoiler...i never revealed anything about the ending or how anything was done or faced....chapter 14 is fucking cheap and full of bullshit that was thrown in there just to piss you off....this game didnt really remind me of survival horror

2.not quite sure how i fail at a game that i beaten on the hardest difficulty available to me....

i would probably pick this game up in the future at cheaper price to revisit it and play it through again....it did have some moments that kept me on edge which i enjoyed....but for now....im trading it in getting my double credit plus the 10% extra they give for being on that "power up membership" and then another 25% for trading it towards MVC 3
