I called DLH with a possible late TKO or UD but I didn't expect him to take out Mayorga in that fashion. Good win for DLH, he made that fool look like a straight amateur.

ko in the 6th 1 round earlier than i thought. i was expecting mayorga to fight more wild than that but that first round knockdown got oscar his respect QUICK!

It wasn't even remotely competitive, Oscar was in good form and I just read on fightnews.com that there might be a showdown with Floyd in September.

Unofficial word is spreading that Oscar De La Hoya is penciled in to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. on September 16. WBO welterweight champion Antonio Margarito caught wind of this and apparently confronted Mayweather, saying "What about me?" and the fighters had to be separated.

Yeah Oscar looked so great that he had Mayorga's respect from round 1. I thought De La Hoya would win but I didn't think he'd dominate like this. He made Mayorga quit. I am not buying any more Mayorga fights. That fool let me down. All that shit he talked and he went out like that.

Dudes i was watching the fight with were betting amongst each other....I heard that he smoked a cig and i was like, "damn, you put your money on dude and he was blowin cigs before the fight? he finna get the bizzness...".....

i wanted to mayorga to win but i gotta give props to oscar. he showed that he still has power . we havnt seen his power in awhile. but its still there.... like i said before , that was total murder. i guess thats what happens when you put a hall of fame boxer in the ring with a street brawler.
