is the chris carter in the deal the same one from stanford/de la salle?

no, that Chris Carter played NorCal Baseball, de la salle hs, univ S, and Diamondbacks got traded to Boston Red Sox at the trade deadline this past season. word on him is that he rakes big time but has limited defense at 1st base, hence the trade to the Red Sox where its possible to DH when/if Ortiz is gone or play 1st and at times dh for the redsox

WTF

Signature "Beane" trade here. Although I'll probably question this one the most, I know in the end it was probably the right move.

I'll have no expectations going into next season though, so hopefully they'll surprise me.

In Beane we trust!
