^^^^ LOL! Shit ain't that serious, Bro. That's how I view life most of the time. Like one big joke. I tend to find a sense of humor in almost anything.

Even this music shit. You how many times I've heard the same ol' story? "This jam right here is going to make it." "I'm about to blow up!" "Get a verse from me right now cause once my album drops the price is gonna go up." "This beat right here, if you rip it right it's guaranteed platinum. This is a platinum beat, so it's gonna cost blah blah blah" etc.

To me it's all bullshit. Nobody in the underground is on the verge of "blowing up" or "famous" for that matter. A regional sense of fame yes, but not famous (as in star status.) Connecting with "famous / worldwide known" artist are simply baby steps in the right direction, but you still need to do for yourself at the end of it all. Hence the Bay area rappers on 2Pac's All Eyez On Me. They remained nameless to the rest of world for the most part. I show people them songs now & the first words out their mouth is, "I didn't even know that."

The music I do, I do for the love of it & seriously throw it out there with an open mind and expect different feedback. Some love it, some think it's okay & some plain hate it. It's all good by me. That just the way the world / human nature works & I understand that.

It's all just a shot & we are all in that same boat. If we throw a song / album out there & get enough people to like it (word of mouth) is what we hope for to make our dream a reality. Anybody trying to tell you different is a damn liar.

I have alot to share with u about this on-going outta hand situation but I just dont have enough time to speak on this so Ill save this til later; for now all I can say is... MAN!!! We can easily relate to each other from our struggles to our voices & visions...... I actually peeped your facebook & reverbnation btw its lookin reel good mayne!! I dont have a facebook yet but I will eventually whenever the its the right time!! I do take your words & advice dead serious tho & use them better yet I even pass them around to & share them with everybody including my close friends & coworkers but in my own words... Youre one reliable intellectual individual with so much to say......
Thanks for the motivation & inspiration bro...

ive noticed that most of the artists that act like they are the next to blow are the ones that really never amount to shit compared to the artists that have made a name for themselves are really humble and down to earth.

My 1 sheet:

Tha Grindhouse :: About This Artist

Artist Summary
Genres: Hip Hop / Rap / R&B
Label: 2Face Entertainment
Management: Joey Zapata for Cell Mgmt.

Artist Bio

In the 80's, when critics said rap music was a fad, people like Tha Grindhouse, refused to drop the mic. From his debut in 1994 to his upcoming projects, Tha Grindhouse perspective pushed the boundaries of Central Coast rap music from mastering the art of story telling on a karaoke machine to the age of digital recordings. So what if Big Punisher had signed to Aftermath Entertainment? Listeners would get "Tha Grindhouse." Raised in Soledad, California, the west coast lyricist would find his destiny in early 1994, when he let his friends listen to a six-song demo called "Str8 Frum Da Undaground". On a stage full of rappers, his hunger for success and quality stook out like 3-D. Soon, the word was out and car systems were booming, creating a buzz that led him to put out a second mixtape, "Catch Of the Day." Fred Fish, his alias at the time, would soon catch a case of hometown fame as well as a fan base.

Before he would take his first step into an actual recording studio, Tha Grindhouse would release his final mixtape. Dubbed "The Last Bootlegs", this tape was built on his growing reputation, a karaoke machine, instrumentals, a VCR, and a plethora of movie skits. Just as quick as a light is lit, a wind can blow just as fast as Tha Grindhouse life was turned upside down due to his mother being diagnosed with a brain tumor. Dedication to his mother and raising two nephews as his sons; these events soon took shape in the form of song.

In these years where it felt like his face was in the dirt, he soon found a seed. His mother's recovery would reach one hundred percent, sending Tha Grindhouse from the brink of defeat to the release of his first full-length album, "Casualties Of Life", under the name "Gemini". During this time, he would start own label, 2Face Entertainment. With a slew of guest appearances, Yukmouth (of Tha Luniz), Mr. Kee, for example, and new found goals, Tha Grindhouse was prime for the limelight. E40 & the Click, Spice 1, Roger Troutman (R.I.P.), Devin The Dude, Mac Dre (R.I.P.), Celly Cel, The Outlawz, Ray Manzarek (former keyboard player for The Doors): these are some of the people that Fred has connected with and his network is only growing larger.

With a new outlook on life, and under a new name, "Tha Grindhouse," is prepping his new release," The Big Picture." In the meantime, while looking over every lyric and making sure every kick is on time, he is keeping the music scene at bay with the new single, "Ooh Wee!" with Young Blaze & Primo. Always a person who shoots for the moon, Tha Grindhouse has two other singles in the can (Closer & Baby Boy) and has recently established F. Segura films, the first release being a documentary entitled "Street Connect: Everybody Has A Dream", an entertainment division which will venture into film and photography. Keeping up with the times seems cliche for Tha Grindhouse, for with every new music video, every new sound, every new way to break into the music industry, he strives to stay a step ahead with a mic in hand, a camera over his shoulder and his heart in the music.

100% MY POINT EXACTAMUNTO!!!!!! Keep kickin these average generics asses with your methods & tactics cuz the majority dont even know that artists by example like u will outlast them... TRUE FACT!!! While others dont understand how you exactly do it the professional adequate way; they usually end up fallin victim after the fans fell victim after gettin fooled by those "false prophets" (note my sig then reply back with your signature jeremy shrug!! LMAO!!!) It all makes sense rite???

Man!! I always wish I had a brother just like u to help me invest & launch my label... He'll handle the business & I'll handle the creativity... But nooooo, I gotta do this all by myself cuz ppl with great tastes & vision, as well as voice, imagination, creativity, clever concepts, tactics, methods, variety, openly-conciousness, out-the-box etc are always a rarity nowadays... I'm along with my co-worker but Im another dept are like u man... We of that critical like-thinking are always timeless......

Seriously Bro, I'm perhaps seen as a negative or a hater because of my opinion towards some of the independent music. I mean, I don't worry about the mainstream music, nor really have an opinion towards it a lot of times due to it already being out there.

I may not agree with it, but there is a fan base & we can have an opinion about the people who listen to it, but fact is, it's the majority and they're winning.

Agree or not, mainstream music is already out there & we can yell, kick, scream & try & discredit it, but it's not changing a thing. We just end up looking like a bunch of crying pussies who lost a competitive sport & trying to discredit the winner.

I'd rather critique an independent artist / song / album etc. due to it being the most important in my book. That's the honest reason why I put up this thread. And love me or hate me, but it's never personal from this end. I'd rather have somebody give me a harsh / honest opinion over a yes man's reply any day.

Not at all alone on that one big homie, when it comes to heated opinions whether if its neutral or not... I always gain more hate than respect especially when I speak against something I dont agree, encourage, respect, nor anything that Im not a part of but shit like that always wins not the only one or few thats against it & thats how it always goes so let it be oh well......
