^^^^ LOL! Shit ain't that serious, Bro. That's how I view life most of the time. Like one big joke. I tend to find a sense of humor in almost anything.
Even this music shit. You how many times I've heard the same ol' story? "This jam right here is going to make it." "I'm about to blow up!" "Get a verse from me right now cause once my album drops the price is gonna go up." "This beat right here, if you rip it right it's guaranteed platinum. This is a platinum beat, so it's gonna cost blah blah blah" etc.
To me it's all bullshit. Nobody in the underground is on the verge of "blowing up" or "famous" for that matter. A regional sense of fame yes, but not famous (as in star status.) Connecting with "famous / worldwide known" artist are simply baby steps in the right direction, but you still need to do for yourself at the end of it all. Hence the Bay area rappers on 2Pac's All Eyez On Me. They remained nameless to the rest of world for the most part. I show people them songs now & the first words out their mouth is, "I didn't even know that."
The music I do, I do for the love of it & seriously throw it out there with an open mind and expect different feedback. Some love it, some think it's okay & some plain hate it. It's all good by me. That just the way the world / human nature works & I understand that.
It's all just a shot & we are all in that same boat. If we throw a song / album out there & get enough people to like it (word of mouth) is what we hope for to make our dream a reality. Anybody trying to tell you different is a damn liar.
