I read somewhere that K-Lou and Lil Italy are suing Master P for 'an undisclosed amount' because P wasn't supposed to release the first Lil Italy album and then didn't pay them right.

that cat is fucked up i knew him when he was not shit in richmond when he got punked at hip hop on the green man that shit is gonna come back on him................
Yeah, Kontac--I like those artists you mentioned, too. They didn't get the push they deserved because their names were not Miller. The latest issue of MURDER DOG has interviews w/ SOULJA SLIM and MAGIC. Slim said that P gave him the equivalent of a straight salary before he recorded GIVE IT 2 EM RAW, but that was it; no royalties thereafter...

Magic indicated that he would've preferred to be an artist on C-Murder's TRU label (he infers that P fucked C over, too), but P's ego was so big that he didn't want C (or anyone) doing anything that wouldn't directly line P's pockets. So Magic did cameos on most '98/'99 No Limit CDs, probably because then P could exploit any royalties Magic would've received for those shots. Magic basically said, "I came to work for C-Murder, not Master P," and he indicated that P was like a dictator and didn't give any NL Soldier a say as to choices for singles, video concepts, haircuts, etc.

Say, Kontac--HOW did P get "punked" back in the day like you mentioned? Just curious...

PEACE!

the hardest shit p had was when he was trying to rep the bay. west coast bad boys 1 is always going to be a bay classic to me. if you look at that cd and listen to it it was filled with some of the bays best artist.

p just gettin old man, i mean you figure his prime was what like 96-97...how many other rappers that were in their prime during that time are still big, no one is. Music is a short term game, especially rap, i cant think of to many rappers that have stayed on top for more than 5yrs. They blow up then a new style comes in and they fade away. I can only think of a handful of rappers who have stayed on top, like dre or pdiddy
