i wouldnt call it a flop, but didn't his last album sell like 750k copies?

i think it matters more because how much 50 talks about record sales, making fun of rick ross and nas for low record sales. nas last album sold more than this, and 160k is barely more than what deeper than rap sold.

its not a complete flop and im not sure if these numbers are correct anyway. 50's also releasing the deluxe version (with the DVD) on Monday so he'll get more sales for that too. Just wait til the soundscan is released officially to see....

he wont even go gold in six months and no he aint making back shit doing those numbers let be honest homie maybe if he was on koch but hes on interscope g-unit is dead thats why yayo and banks got dropped this was 50's last album for interscope after this there's a greatest hits album and then 50 is long gone...

"According to reports, 50's first-week 160,000 projected sold copies will also include his iTunes sales.Like an NFL coaching staff making in-game adjustments on the fly, Interscope's Jimmy Iovineand Steve Berman did some last-minute maneuvering around the release of 50 Cent's Before I Self Destruct following worldwide Internet leaks weeks prior to the original street date. In rapid succession, they pushed forward the physical release date from Nov. 23 to Nov. 17 -- the soonest the CD could be manufactured and shipped -- while also working out a one-week exclusive with iTunes for the digital album, to take effect Nov. 10. In return, iTunes agreed to go against its standard policy and "locked" the album, with only the single available a la carte, selling 46k album downloads during the exclusive window. Additionally, the compilers of the charts agreed to include the initial iTunes sales in the total for first week of general release, which is now looking in the 140-150k range. That won't challenge Columbia's John Mayer, now a lock for #1 with 275-300k. (Hits Daily Double)"

i say when the final numbers come out he's at like 120k
You got that from sohh the first people to some how break this news and the website that goes out there way everyday to hate on 50. If it's true it's tru,but it doesn't take away from a good album. It's still not a flop though sales wise. And Im guessing you work for interscope cause some how you know the amount of money they put into this prokect.

damn! that fat head nigga took a mean ass L lmao even ross last album sold more than this clown haha flop of the year!!

50 Cent's highly anticipated Before I Self Destruct is estimated to debut with first-week sales of approximately 160,000 units, losing out to singer John Mayer for the number one spot.

According to one-day estimates, 50's fourth solo project may land as far as back No. 4 its opening week.
Columbia's singer/songwriter, full-time Tweeter and tabloid lothario will bow on top next week as his Battle Studies rustles up 275-300k in sales, almost twice as much as his nearest pursuer, according to one-day reports from those hearty few still selling shiny, round discs in their stores instead of flat screen TVs. Blue Note chanteuse Norah Jones' The Fall is the next-highest debut at 150-160k, putting her in a four-way logjam with Aftermath/Interscope rapper 50 Cent's Before I Self-Destruct (whoops, too late), also in its first week, Provident/Reunion Christian act Casting Crowns and Decca's Andrea Bocelli, all in the 140-150k range. (Hits Daily Double)

This album only been out for a few days(not even a full week yet) sales will pick up.

Thats not a flop thats good in this day and age bc other muthafukas was only selling 3,000 copies they first week. Also

straight up, this year that is not a flop. Kids these days think that it all matters about first week sales and that shit is bullshit. That shit irritates me when heads judge off of first week sales. I am not that big of a 50 cent fan BUT most of your favorite artist back then took up to 6 months to a year to hit gold. Yall need to realize that longevity is fucking way better then first week or month sales. If that shit continues to sale within the next couple of years than you can judge if it is a flop or not.

Cant fucking judge a flop off of predictions and first months sales!!

SALES AREN'T WHAT THEY USED TO BE ANYMORE....THE DAYS OF TRIPLE PLATINUM RECORDS FOR EVERY OTHER MAIN STREAM ARTIST ARE GONE...........DOWNLOADING I'D SAY HAS CUT BACC ALBUM SALES FOR THE AVERAGE ARTIST BY AT LEAST 50%....THERE WAS A TIME YOU'D BUY AN ALBUM JUST CUZ OF THE ONE RADIO SINGLE THAT WAS HARD, WITHOUT ANY IDEA OF WHAT THE REST OF THE ALBUM SOUNDED LIKE.....NOW PEOPLE DOWNLOAD THE WHOLE ALBUM AND MAKE MIXES OF THEIR FAVORITE TRACCS INSTEAD......THIS IS 50'S MOST SOLID ALBUM SINCE GET RICH OR DIE TRYING AND 150K FOR A FIRST WEEK IN THIS MUSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND RECESSION IS A SUCCESS......
