I was up in there. And walked straight into it. They had told me everything was setup, but I get down there and they aint lettin no one use the tables or mixer they had setup. I had to smash back to the pad and get my system. Get set up real quick, dont know whats goin on. Birdy Bird hooked his instant replay to my mixer. Had people tryin to tell me and Birdy Bird to pull the plug on Mitchy. Birdy Birds answer was classic. Some lil kid was supposed to go on next, dad pushin him out there. But he wasnt havin it.

ive been hearin' alot about...unorganized shows....comin from san diego this last 2 months...funny part is its not the same promoter or the same venue..
and these promoters need to have better business ethic and communication with the artists, djs, promoters, security, whatever the fuck you need to throw your show. along with that, those people involved also need to be able to communicate. theres alot of new booty dudes out there tryna get they feet wet and making mistakes as they go along..
i dont think san diego has room to make those mistakes anymore if we want to build past a certain level..alot of these promoters are actually making us look bad. on a business level and on a music level.
because all that shit makes people not want to go out...you pay for your shit and then its all fucked up...or someone wants to start shit and shut it down...make speople feel like a show is prone to have something go wrong..
we need better, more centralized and possibly black owned venues outside of the hood..but that comes with money...and it would probably eventually get shut down anyway since everyones gotta be so banged out.
hope yall that went enjoyed yaself though, the stadium is definately one of the best places to host something of that magnitude, but oh well..shady antics always ensue

People who woke up with an idea one day to promote/throw a show without doing their homework. Trying to make a quick buck...instead of focusing on throwing together a proper function. I'm not in the business, but common sense would tell me that at least 80% of a good function is how you treat people. The visiting artist ,the local artist(show some love)...and your paying customers. Putting a show together is easy. Making it successful is work.

Mitchy, were you on the roster to perform? I don't know why someone would stop you if you're scheduled to perform - that sounds crazy to me.
I honestly think from an unbiased perspective and my experience that a lot of promoters get real cocky and try to run the venue with an iron fist, and a lot of rappers think they have all the freedom in the world to bring 50 guys in w/ no girls and get their every wish granted.
