The Beat:
The beat is nice, definately a cool vibe. That 'creep with me as I roll thru the hood' sample gotta go though.

The Idea:
Wack. "Drop Top" was never a hit and that song is 10 years old now. Nobody is talkin' about rollin' in a drop-top anymore. If Mix couldn't justify a part 2 to a song that actually was a hit ("Baby Got Back") then I don't know what makes E-Dawg think cats are checkin' for a "Drop Top 2".

Don't waste a nice beat. Do a NEW song to it. Be on some 2004 stuff, not some 1993. I vote no.
YOUR ON POINT WIT THAT OG, DROP TOP WAS WACK. IT WAS SO WACK THAT IT SOLD ALOT OF UNITS WORLD WIDE, AND VIDEO ON BET MTV #2 ON THE BOX IN LA. YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY A SEATTLE CAT DID SOME COOL SHIT. AND BY THE WAY CATS IN HE HOOD STILL ROLL DROP TOPS. COME DOWN AND CHECK US OUT................LOL SOUND SCANE WILL HELP YOU OUT.................LOL

I think that E-Dawg will that track a great justice. He is one of the top MC's in the region, and has alot more to offer then alot of MC's. I think that he will definitely bring something to that nice track. I am interested in hearing the final collabo. Keep it pushin ya'll.

Im really feelin that DSANE, definitely a new sound. never heard that droptop song, but im really lookin to hear this one
Thanks. Like I've been saying.....you're all gonna be hearing some new sounds from me with the release of these future projects. I started gettin' more into sampling the past year.....and this is somethin' I threw together a few days ago. I can't do the same old shit forever (like SOME people - I won't name names)....ya know? I'm tryin' to get PAID!

Now if somebody could just name the song or artist that I sampled to make the beat with.....but it'll never happen! :devious:

C'mon man, half of your response is based on things I never said so why are you acting so defensive? I'm not attacking you. I didn't say "Drop Top" was wack and I didn't say nobody rides drop-tops anymore. I didn't say E-Dawg shouldn't do a song to that beat either.

What do you consider "alot of units"? If it means 'when compared to other local Seattle rappers sales' then you might have a point... Nationally or otherwise, no. Most cats outside your area have never even heard of you. Maybe we should post the soundscans and then you can explain why you think that song is a certified hit when the numbers say otherwise.

Nobody is checkin' for a "Drop Top 2", especially not 10 years later. If you want to do DT2 for you then just say so, but don't act like DT1 was some smash hit single and the whole wide world has been waiting for a follow-up ever since. DT2? C'mon E-Dawg, you're more creative than that. I know you're tighter than that.

It's funny.. I suggest cats do something NEW and ORIGINAL and their only response is to get defensive and act butt-hurt. That's a shame and since I agree with Bosko that E-Dawg is one of the better NW rappers, it's also a waste. I expect more from someone who has been around the music game for so long.

Now that's what I like to hear! Music gets so boring so fast when cats don't try new things.

As far as the sample, it's right there but I can't get it out. I haven't heard that cut in a long time but I know I still have it somewhere. Nice choice on the sample, I don't think anyone else has used it (that I know of).

lol....you'll never figure it out. It's an old school slow jam that I sampled at 45rpm. If you can name that tune....shit I may just have to buy you lunch! But then you may have to reveal your ID....lol:confused:
