Yeah I get it. The whole story is well documented on a lot of websites. To me... that guy is lucky he only lost a thumb.
My point is, I don't get hyped by a guy who's so stupid that he lost a thumb to a promoter who he probably shouldn't have been dealing with in the first place. And lets face it, he was probably only making 50 bucks a show.
I'm just sayin, those indie shows should only work to help you get noticed by major companies... not have you gettin' your appendages lopped off. Especially at 50 bucks a show. He'd be better off flippin' a burger making a guaranteed 42 a day than play tony Toughnuts and lose a thumb for 100 a week.
