In defense of cricet.....Today is different then yesterday as far as dropping albums...the profit margin has been cut probably at least by 70%. It may not make sense business wise to drop it right now....music is changing, some fans have moved on to a different sound, maybe he has some business deals on the table that he is waiting on to help push it harder...I would think he is at a point in his career in music where this may be his last attempt and wants to go all or nothing so is delaying it for his forthcoming efforts and plans....
In our eyes and our views it is not so much that it takes an artist too long to release a project..this is not the issue, but it not smart to stake a claim that your record is being released and not follow through especially when you give the exact dates..being you are not in a major label situation, you can not use the label as a crutch for an excuse.....Either way how far do you really think cricet is gonna go in the rap game? aint no hate intended, but his best opportunities and chances are behind him unless the music game comes full circle and this kind of westcoast sound becomes popular again...sure there are loyal supporters..such as myself, but we are to few..it is a shame because artists like himself had alot to offer...sure he could change his sound and keep up with the times, but this will lose some loyal supporters, and he is too old to be a pop artists, so his best chances lye in production..artist development etc....and even then the game may remain the same in some aspects, but the ones paying admission have changed the rules..
