I was born in '86...been a Cowboys fan 4 as long as I can remember....Don't really know exactly when it was that I started watchin them, but I learned to be a Cowboys fan from my pops.....
What 5 year old kid knows who's good and who's not?? I mean really, reading the newspaper and shit like "ohhh boyy Troy threw for 3 TDs and 270 yards on them hoes"
And it wasnt like my pops jumped on when they started winning in 91-or so..
He had been a fan since the 60's. So I mean shit call it what you wanna call it....

this is what i was referring to. U claim to that i hop back in forth between teams. i root for both teams at the same time, good or bad. i root for my local team, shit fans are suppose to do. I got family from texas, and they the one who put me on to the cowboys, thats why i got so much love for them, cowboys were my team from the beginning and will be. It would be the same if i was born in the town and moved to dallas or any other place. i root for my local teams not on who's doin better. Thats like everyone that roots for brazil in the world cup, not everyone is from brazil so they anit aloud to root for them? wtf is the problem with rooting for teams u like that anit from your area.

Sitting on top but never went to the superbowl right? Owens second best season was the year they went to superbowl 39. Before him the lost every NFC Championship game. They were hella good when owens got there, they atleast stepped up to get to the superbowl. Injured or not, owens was an impact, a moral booster, and GOT THEM TO THE SUPERBOWL
Yup, but we didnt have Romo all season, we had shitty ass bledsoe, and hes the reason for the lost in philly and games before that. If romo was put in earlier in the season im sure they wouldnt have even had to go to the wildcard game. Yea philly did better, but then again philly had a diff qb the whole time, McNabb sucks, and even owens saw it, and was out. Now look at the eagles, no Jeff Garcia, no the eagles suck, same thing that happen to the Niners. The niners had talent but cut those guys lose. Blame the niners organization not player .

OK I see where you're coming from.. But "busting nuts" would not be the right term. Alex Smith showed a lot of progression last season, and it was not inconceivable to believe he would continue that this season, especially with what everyone thought would be an upgrade to his receiving corps. Everyone from analysts to fans of other teams thought he would be better this year than last year, and obviously it looks like we were wrong.
Like I said, everyone thought Alex would be much better than he is right now. Not everyone knew Tony Romo would be doing as well as he is.. Cowboy fans were obviously optimistic because he was their QB. But as of right now, I'd say it's obvious Romo is much better than Alex Smith. It's not even close.
He did as much for Frisco as he did for Philly, and he's did the same as he's doing for Dallas. He played his role in SF just as he is doing in Dallas. He has not "stepped his game up." He was performing at a very high level in San Francisco and he's performing at that same level right now in Dallas.
He hasn't done any more than he did in SF. In fact his production was better in SF. The Niners were a playoff team when he was there because they had plenty of good players. He did not go to Philly and single-handedly take them to the SuperBowl.. As I pointed out, he was on the sidelines with an injury throughout the entire playoffs, so he did NOT take them to the Bowl. They would have been there regardless, as they proved by making it without him.

On top of that, money doesn't make you a grown ass man. You can have all the money in the world and never be GROWN.

To be clear, the only person who decided to leave on his own was Jeff Garcia, and that was a money issue. He wanted to be able to use his talent to take care of himself for the rest of his life, and the Niners refused to pay him (terrible move, due to a horrible front office and retarded owners). Owens had no choice, he was traded and was gonna be on his way out whether he wanted out or not. I'm not saying he did not want out, I'm saying it doesn't matter what he wanted. The other players we lost were all released. So let's be clear here, they had no choice but to leave. It's not like they wanted to go "because they knew nothing would happen if they stayed." Get your shit straight before making statements like this.

Go back and look around, most people (analysts & fans) around the league thought the Niners would be playoff contenders this year. You're sitting there acting like there was no reason to be optimistic. It would be one thing if we didn't finish strong last year and then acquire a lot of talent in the offseason.. If we hadn't done those things, then there wouldn't be much of a reason for the high expectations we had.
